10Vauquelin Brabant
Good With Words
You first meet this Frenchman during the“Taking French Leave” Main Questwhen trying to sneak out theoh-so-mightyLord Capon from the Maleshov Castle. He not only helps you against King Sigismund’s forces, but also plays a very key role in the story.
He’s an opportunist and the kind of guy who never misses a chance to brag about his epic adventures—loud, proud, and always ready with a wild story.
Brabant loves talking; in fact, whenever he is in the scene, you are sure to listen to one of his heroic tales, like how he escaped when surrounded by John Hawkwood and his men. Whether those are true or not, however, is an entirely different matter. Say what you will, but he’s hands-downthe most fun character to interact within my book.
Good Boy Mutt
You’ll earn this loyal hound afterwrapping up the “Mutt” side quest, and from that moment on, he’ll trot by Henry’s side, obeying every word and leaping to his master’s defense like a true knight in furred armor.
Mutt has been with Henry since the events of Skalitz, though his presence was lesser known in the first game than in the second. In fact, I did my first playthrough ofKingdom Come: Deliverance 1without knowing I could have Mutt by my side.
I’m glad I didn’t make the same mistake in the second game. Whether it was someone storming off with their“I can do everything myself”tantrum or betraying Henry over a pouch of silver, Mutt never left my side. In a world as unforgiving asKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, having him with me made everything feel just a bit safer.
Adder is a Polish mercenary who is a member of the Devils Pack led by the Dry Devil. You first meet him when trying toassemble the members of the devil’s packwho went their separate ways.
After a few interactions with him, you realise thatthe guy is a Lunatic who only cares about breaking bones and causing trouble.
Throughout the game, Adder keeps you entertained with his hilarious voice lines and actions. He is a confident character who knows when to deliver a joke and how to make a situation worse.

Istvan Toth was the main antagonist of the firstKingdom Come: Deliverancegame and one of the major antagonists in the second, a Hungarian spy working for King Sigismund to weaken the grip of nobles who are against Hungary’s advance in Bohemia.
His crafty personality would always favor him in the face of danger.He never minded jumping from one band of outlaws to the next, as long as it meant dodging a real knight in fair combat.

Every time Henry and Istvan crossed swords, I couldn’t help but enjoy their merry dance of tricks and taunts, each trying to outwit the other. When their final duel came, it felt like a proper showdown worthy of a bard’s tales.
6Hynek of Kunstat
The Dry Devil
Hynek of Kunstat, or better known as the Dry Devil, is a nobleman turned to a life of murdering and trickery. He’s first introduced in theSpeak Of The Devil Main Quest,where you save him from being hanged by the Hungarian forces.
He’sa madman who would suggest eating your dog if he’s feeling a little peckishand is willing to burn an entire village of innocent people just to gain a slight advantage against his enemies.
But to be honest, I love the scrawny freak for his psychotic plans, his wicked ways, and how he makes every bad situation worse.
5Markvart Van Aulitz
I Remember Everyone
Markvart Van Aulitz is the commander of the Prague army and is the reason behind Henry’s entire journey, as he kills his parents in the first game and serves as a solid antagonist in the second.
You may think of him as the bad guy, but in reality,Markvart and Henry are cut from the same cloth, two knights in shining armor, both fighting to lead their kings to victory.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Should You Side With Semine Or Hashek During A Necessary Evil?
Siding with Heshek or Semine is the first major moral decision you have to make in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. But who to choose?
Despite his various valiant feats throughout the game, in my opinion, it’s the climax of Marvart vs Henry that made his character shine. During his final moments, he says a few lines of wisdom to Henry, which makes you not only change your perspective of his character, but also appreciate the writing behind it.
Instead of a scripted NPC, who’s evil just for the sake of it,he genuinely feels like a living, breathing characterwith a not-so-black-and-white personality worthy of being an antagonist for such a good game.
4Hans Capon
Audentes Fortuna Iuvat
Hans Capon of Perkstein is a nobleman entrusted with delivering a message to Otto Van Bergow, but that’s when all fell to ruin, and for some reason, Hans Capon can always be found amidst all the trouble.
Hans is Henry’s closest friend, and they stick together in every situation, whether it was when scraping for a few groschen on the poor streets of Trosky or defending the Suchdol castle. Though he would often sidetrack from his duties, his valor in battle was fit for a lord.
Listening to his bold stories was always fun, and knowing he stood as your brother in arms was reassuring.
3Jan Zizka
Brave And Bold
Jan Zizka is a part of the Devil’s Pack, working with a group of mercenaries to fight against the Nobles who support King Sigismund. We meet Zizka during the“back in the saddle”main quest,when we visit the Nebakov Castle.
I suggest talking to the locals in that quest, something fishy is definitely going on, but whatever his means and motives may be, Zizka serves as the biggest threat to Sigismund’s forces. From start to finish, he is seen assomeone with the heart of a lion, who won’t bow to any noble, and will come out on top against all odds.

Some perks in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 are always worth unlocking, regardless of what style of playthrough a player chooses.
He was easily the coolest in the game. His role carried real weight in the story, and without him, the battle against the Hungarian king would have ended in shame.
I Am Quite Hungry
Henry is the protagonist ofKingdom Come: Deliverance 2, charged with protecting his lordship, Sir Hans Capon, but guarding a noble is only part of his tale. He might cross blades with knights for honour or lend a hand to old Bozhena and her strange herbs.
Or, if you’re feeling bold, you can lead him down the devil’s path, going on a killing spree in themiddle of Semineor handing Miller Kryzel to the bailiff for a swift hanging. In the end, Henry’s fate is yours to shape.
But one thing is for sure:in the end, Henry stayed true, not to glory or gold, but to those who fought beside him. He was there when his friends needed him and brought help, turning the tables on the Prague army when they had victory in sight.
I truly enjoyed Henry’s journey. It was a tale worth living, one that stirred the heart and stayed with me long after. He rose from a beggar’s cloak to a lord’s mantle, yet kept his soul as pure and humble as ever.
Man Proposes, But God Disposes
Godwin is the second playable character inKingdom Come Deliverance 2, a noble who laid down his title to preach the teachings of god. But in reality, he is anale-houndwho enjoys his time with women and booze more than being in God’s house.
Godwin may not have been the most pious Christian, and his days of fighting may have been long gone, but for someone who was just a“fun side character stirring trouble”in the first game, to someone who risks his life fighting the bandits of Nebakov to save Henry, it was proof that even the wildest soul may yet wear honor well.
Many times, I would wish to control Godwin over Henry, just because of hisI-Dont-care-about-your-problemsmentality. In a world where knights in shining armor were the center of attention, an old, drunken priest who only wanted to save his friends made the most impact.
