Kevin Costner had a pretty eventful time last year. From him leaving Yellowstone behind to finally fulfill his dream of making his Western project. To his divorce from Christine Baumgartner and the subsequent court case regarding compensation and custody of their children, a lot was going on. But now that things have called down a little, has it gotten any better for the Hollywood legend?
After the messy divorce and the even messier settlement trial, the ex-couple went their separate ways. Costner was busy making his movie, while also dipping his toes in the dating pool. Baumgartner on the other hand, went from one serious relationship to another in a matter of months. And that too with her ex-husband’s longtime friend and neighbor. It was nothing less than a Hollywood cliche and had Costner feeling pretty bad.

When Christine Baumgartner asked for a divorce fromKevin Costner, it felt quite out of the blue. There wasn’t any inclination to the couple having any marital troubles, but suddenly sh*t had hit the fan, and the whole world was a spectacle to it. The subsequent trial where Baumgartner asked for compensation from her ex-husband got even messier, especially with the court “ruling” in favor of the actor.
After the whole fiasco, Baumgartner started dating Josh Connor, a financier who was a neighbor to the ex-couple and a longtime friend of Costner. But soon after filing for divorce, she was seen out and about with Connor. And it’s not making Costner any happy to hear about it. An insider revealed toOK Magazine:

Speaking onCBSabout the divorce and how he is dealing with it, the father of 7 said:
It’s powerful and it hurt… So, I can’t wilt like a daisy. I have to go forward, I have to continue to be who I am and keep a special eye on who they are.
Hopefully, he will find his closure soon and be able to move forward in life, both personally as well as professionally.
Is Kevin Costner Back In The Dating Pool?
After the divorce, fans were curious to know ifCostnerwas staying behind or dipping his toes in the dating pool once more. He was seen with singer Jewel in various outings, and media outlets were all but sure that the two were dating.
But Costner was pretty straightforward about clearing the air and revealed that he was, in fact, not dating the singer. Speaking onThe Howard Stern Show, he said:
No, no, no, but … I know, that’s what they are. I like the idea of that… No, Jewel and I are friends. We’ve never gone out — ever. She’s special, and I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that is what we have. She’s special. She’s beautiful enough to go out with.

Whether they do date in the future or Costner ends up with someone else entirely, or remains single, their friendship has been a pretty positive part of his life since the divorce. And that is all we can wish for the actor.
