Kevin Feige’s plan for the Marvel Cinematic Universe has slowly been coming together these past few months. For years, the franchise had an evident but drastic downfall. It has been picking up its pieces one by one, and the biggest fix is set to come withDeadpool & Wolverine.Although the Ryan Reynolds film will set the series on a better path, there is no denying that it will need more than one more to make it work.

Thankfully, Marvel has a lot of characters here and there that deserve more screen time than they have been given over the years. There is no example better than that of J.K. Simmons. While he has been a part of many successful films, even playing Omiman inInvincible,he is best known as J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi’sSpider-Mantrilogy.
After he made his way into Tom Holland’sSpider-Man: No Way Home, there may be a perfect show for him to star in that would be extremely profitable.

The Perfect Addition to Kevin Feige’s Plan
J.K. Simmons’J. Jonah Jameson is one of the most iconic parts of Spider-Man’s story. A news reporter who hates the web-slinger with a vengeance. His platform,The Daily Bugle, has even been labeled as controversial within the universe, spreading nothing but Spider-Man-hating propaganda and capitalizing on each of his mistakes.

There are several iconic aspects of the news site and paper itself; with Peter Parker working for them at one point and Jameson being a horrible boss. With all of this in mind, the setting of the newspaper may be perfect for a sitcom.
Taking on a style similar toThe Office, the show could have distinctive characters that give their perspectives to the audience in individual talking sessions with the camera. With the insight that fans were given inTobey Maguire’s seriesabout the inner workings of the company, there is no denying that it is very chaotic, and fans would love to see a show from that.

WandaVision But Better
Interestingly enough,TheOffice-style sitcoms aren’t a foreign concept for the MCU. The seventh episode inWandaVisiontook on a similar theme, with all of the characters revealing their thoughts to the audience in the most bizarre way possible. The entire series was a love letter to the different kinds of sitcoms over the years.
However, it did not completely commit to the concept, switching up to science-fiction and action, with the end taking on a much more serious tone. If the J. Jonah Jameson series did end up happening, it would need to be a sitcom through and through, with no breaks.

If this could be made, it is almost guaranteed that audiences would devour the series. Having little to no real connection to the main universe could get it to have an even bigger audience, considering just how interesting and entertaining the setting has the potential to be.
