Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom may seem like they have the perfect relationship now. However, it was not always smooth sailing for the stunning couple. In fact, just a year after they had officially gotten together in 2016, the love birds wound up hitting a bump in the road. It even ended with them splitting up for close to a year. But luckily their reconciliation came shortly after.
Now, with eight years having flown by as a happy family, Perry has finally shed some light on what it took to save her relationship with the Hollywood heartthrob. In fact, theFireworksinger even ended up revealing that it had ended up saving her life.
Katy Perry credits one thing for saving her relationship with Orlando Bloom
In a recent episode of theCall Her Daddypodcast,Katy Perryopenly discussed the high and low points of her relationship withOrlando Bloom.Although the couple seem to be thriving with their 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, they too hit a rough patch back in 2017. She wound up confessing,“We weren’t really in it from Day 1.”However, she went on to correct herself and admit that it was she who had a lot of work to do.
Before their split, Bloom had taken some time to focus on himself and he headed to an intensive therapy retreat called The Hoffman Process. When he returned Perry had initially been put off by his disinterest in playing games and the couple eventually broke up. However, a short while later the musician took it upon herself to change her past relationship habits and followed the actor’s footsteps.
I had a really tough year, and I finally went to Hoffman at towards the end of that year that we were separated and then I got the tools and spoke the same language and it changed my life. It saved my life, I would be dead without it. I would not be on this planet without that process.

Perry added,“The more work we do, the more we find the next level.”Luckily for the star, her next level seems to have been the perfect family life with Bloom and their beautiful baby girl. However, this is not the first time that the 39-year-old has given fans a peek into her personal life, and it probably will not be the last. Apart from the singer, even Bloom has opened up about the couple’s earlier struggles.

In a recent episode of theOn Purpose podcast, Orlando Bloom shed some light on everything he had learned in his relationship withthe former American Idol judge,Katy Perry. Although the couple might have a fairytale story now, it took a lot of hard work for them to reach this spot. The 47-year-old told Jay Shetty that he had undergone many personal revelations during their time together and shared them.
I think I’m constantly learning to let go because anything that I tried to hold on to, whether it’s good or bad, doesn’t serve me… and it doesn’t really serve either of us.
Bloom continued,“In some ways my relationship is the greatest opportunity for my continual growth… and I know we both see it that way. So that’s how we grow.”The actor went on to share more of the things he had learned in his committed relationship in hopes that others would take notes.
