Jonathan Majors’ Kang was set up to be the MCU’s next big baddie in its Multiverse Saga. The character was even set up to be the main focus of one of the upcoming Avengers flicks. However, with the recent guilty verdict of harassment and assault, Majors will not continue with the role anymore.

With the tease inAnt-Man 3,Avengers: The Kang Dynastywas supposed to explore more of the intricacies of the various Kangs, all played by Majors. And he was also supposed to earn a hefty pay for the ambitious film.

However, with the recent guilty charges of reckless assault and harassment, Marvel has dropped the actor from the role (viaThe Hollywood Reporter), It remains to be seen whether the MCU recasts the character or if they drop the Kang storyline entirely. With how the character has been received so far, they most likely will replace Kang for another big villain.

Jonathan Majors May Face a One-Year Prison Sentence
Jonathan Majors was recently found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault in his court case. The actor was on trial after he was accused of domestic abuse by his ex-girlfriend back in March. As put byVariety, the judge has set a sentencing date of July 05, 2025. The actor may face a year in jail but is likely to be sentenced to probation.
The report also revealed that Majors and his defense attorney will still continue to fight to clear his name and further prove his innocence. Since the verdict, the actor has been dropped from the MCU, and his career will forever be affected by this conviction. It remains to be seen what sentence the court decides to give Majors.
