Recently, he opened up about how he is trying to protect his family from his fame, especially when he was faced with a stalker situation in his life, which made him realize recognition can also be a terrifying thing.

People often don’t realize that Hollywood stars and celebrities from all walks of life are human beings, just like the rest of us who need their personal space away from the world. Alas, some people disregard their peace and seclusion to engage with them one way or the other, which can lead to disturbing situations.
In a recent interview withThe Independent,Jamie Dornanopened up about the fame that theFifty Shadesseries gifted him with, which was an amazing experience at the start. But later on, to protect himself and his family from unwanted attention, he had to seclude them and himself a little from many rabid fans.
He realized just how terrifying that fame can be when he was face to face with a stalker in his house when his kids were sleeping. He said:
“I tried to put walls up around [the fans], to really try and not let that in. I’m pretty good at just blocking any of the noise associated with whatever fandom is – not letting it affect me, or more importantly my family. I’ve been involved in situations where it’s impacted my family. I had a situation… a stalker-type situation before Covid. That was f***ing scary. Someone turned up at my house when my kids were there. It was not something… The more I can block that out, the better it is for me and the family.”
Just goes to show how all the lights and flashing cameras mask the underlying darkness of being in the eyes of the public.
