One of the most highly anticipated projects from James Gunn’s DC Universe is the upcomingBatman: The Brave and the Bold. This revelation was one of the most talked-about parts of the film as it had the potential to brew many great story arcs between Batman and Robin. Since the character never had its origin tale under the DCEU, it would have been the perfect chance for an introduction. Gunn’s decision to announce Robin’s appearance in the upcomingBatmanmovie finally redeems the mistake made under Snyder’s legacy.

Interestingly, Snyder planned to introduce Carrie Kelley as Grayson’s successor. This never went off the ground, but since the late Grayson continued to be a significant part of the story, Snyder’s version of Kelley would most likely become the comic book-accurate version of Robin on the big screen.

As perVariety, The Flash directorAndy Muschiettihas been tapped to helm the project. Gunn told the outlet:
“Andy’s affinity and passion for these characters and this world just resonates through every frame. So, when it came time to find a director for ‘The Brave and the Bold,’ there was really only one choice. Luckily, Andy said yes.”
The Brave and the Boldhas no attached writer as of yet, though it is going to be a huge responsibility now that it will feature the first live-action movie appearance of Robin since Chris O’Donnell’s portrayal in 1977.
