The Officemight be one of the funniest shows ever but it sure had its heartwarming and emotional moments as well. Whether it was the team singing Michael Scott (Steve Carell) his farewell song or Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) crying over his girl on the stairs, the sitcom certainly brought tears to eyes numerous times.

When discussing emotional moments from the show, it is basically a crime to leave out the final moment between Michael and Pam (Jenna Fischer). As the boss makes it his duty to say goodbye to each of the employees personally, the viewers bite their nails in anticipation as Pam is nowhere to be found. When they do meet at the end, their conversation remains a mystery due to Michael not being mic’d up. A few years ago, Steve Carell finally revealed what they actually talked about.

Pam’s Goodbye to Michael Scott

Probably one of the best developments inThe Officewas Pam and Michael’s relationship. He was the only one to visit her art show and she walked out of Dunder Mifflin with him without a second thought. All in all, a good example of platonic fictional relationships, if not the best.

However, since Pam decided to take a break from work, Michael almost didn’t get his special goodbye to one of his closest employees. Luckily, she makes it just in time at the airport and runs past security to him. We never hear what they talk about but the moment was so emotional and powerful on its own that we couldn’t help the tears that escaped our eyes.

In his words,

Despite Relatively Low Salary, Money Was Not the Real Reason Why Steve Carell Left “The Office” After Season 7

I don’t remember specifically. It was basically just the two of us saying goodbye and crying, like, ‘I’m going to miss you.’ ‘It’s going to be okay.’ That sort of thing. I don’t remember the specific words, but it wasn’t like small talk. It wasn’t, ‘Is the camera still rolling?’ It was an actual moment between us.
