Reason Behind Canceling Halle Berry’s Movie

Speaking about the unfortunate event of Halle Berry’s sci-fi movieTheMothershipbeing canceled mid-filming, Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria noted that it was a rare event that happened after a mutual decision. “It doesn’t happen very often, it’s very rare. If you think about how many things we make, it’s a rare thing. But it was one where there were lots of production issues, creative issues, and everybody on both sides, the talent and us, just agreed that it was better to not watch it.”

TheMothershipwas supposed to be Matthew Charman’s directorial debut, but unfortunately, the project was plagued by intense issues regarding production and creative differences. Thus, Bela Bajaria discussed that eventually it was considered by both parties, the talent and the streaming company, that it was better to cancel the project.
