“This was a massive coincidence”: Henry Cavill Looks Like Christopher Reeve Without Even Trying in Man of Steel and Yet Critics Thought He Failed as Superman
In a podcast interview withEmpire, Cavill shared his firm stance that any adaptation ofWarhammer 40Kmust be handled with the same level of care and respect as Peter Jackson’sLord of the Ringstrilogy.
There haven’t been just loads of TV shows and movies all done poorly. It needs to be handled perfectly. It needs to be handled to a Lord Of The Rings level. And if it’s not, I’ll be massively disappointed.

But in terms of which character he himself would portray, his desire might confuse you. When asked if he would like to play Eisenhorn, a character beloved by manyWarhammerfans, Cavill was quick to downplay the idea.
I mean, I don’t know about Eisenhorn necessarily, when you’ve got Valdor and Primarchs out there. It seems a shame to be a mere Inquisitor. But I would absolutely leap at that opportunity.

Andhe has backed up this stanceof being faithful multiple times. The man is a true fan to his core who wants the depth and complexity ofWarhammerto be properly displayed on the big screen.
Fans Can Only Hope He Isn’t Done Dirty Again Like With Geralt in The Witcher
Fans were very excited when aWarhammer 40KTV series was announced. Especially with Cavill not only starring but also taking on the role of executive producer for the series. This new role gives him significant influence over the show’s direction, ensuring that the adaptation remains true to the source material.
“You will be made fun of by him and everyone else”: The Director Henry Cavill Said Makes Fun of Actors Who Come up With Bad Ideas
Despite how much fans want to see Cavill play someone like Eisenhorn, the actor’s preference for a more prominent characteris understandable. Primarchs are iconic within theWarhammer 40Kuniverse, each with their own rich backstory and distinct personality.
Cavill’s involvement has been a reassuring factor for many, especially after his controversial exit fromThe Witcherseries, where creative differences reportedly led to a departure from the original lore that Cavill was passionate about preserving.

Whichever character Cavill ultimately plays, his involvement in theWarhammer 40Kseries is a big win for fans. His own passion and dedication to the source material, and his influence as an executive producer are good early hints at how faithful and high quality it could be.
