Luffy, learned Japanese to sit down with Oda-Sensei via the officialX account of Netflixto give its fandom a sneak peek into what to expect in the second season.
The interview commenced with the actor expressing his happiness to finally learn Japanese to sit down and have a chat with the manga artist. Soon, followed by asking him if it was his first time on the set. Oda-Sensei replied,“It is,”and then stated how he got to see some actual filming, praising the work that went behind it,“especially the props, massive sets, special effects, the making of wigs and costumes, the stunts.”

Godoy also asked the author if he enjoyed their acting, to which he replied,“It was good.”What got the attention of the fans is that the veteran mangaka explained that this season needs to be full of surprises and they must do everything to shock the audience. He further mentioned how he included giants and tons of bounty hunters, which will ensure that his season will be“full of new, surprising elements. That’s why it’s more challenging.”
