According to reports fromTHR, the iconicIndiana Jonesactor Harrison Ford made headlines for setting out on a rescue mission to save stranded hikers with his helicopter. It was back in 2000 when Ford saved Sarah George (20 at that time), from being stranded on Table Mountain in Wyoming.
“Well, one time we picked up this woman who was hypothermic on the mountain. She barfed in my cowboy hat but didn’t know who I was until the next day.”
Sarah George was undoubtedly grateful toHarrison Fordfor saving her life, but the actor revealed in 2023 that he would probably never do it again. Clarifying that he would never ignore the plight of someone in trouble, the actor noted that he no longer helps with rescue missions because of the annoying headlines that come with it.
“I stopped doing it because we would be lucky enough to find somebody, and then they’d be on Good Morning America talking about ‘a hero pilot’. It’s nothing f*cking like that. It’s a team effort. It’s lame to think about it that way.”
