Casting actors in their late 20s or early 30s for high school roles was a standard procedure in Hollywood for years. But we’ve come a long way since, as in Euphoria, almost every actor looked the part, including Zendaya, who was 22 when she was cast in the role of Rue.

However, it has been five years since, and almost every major star from the show is currently in the latter half of their 20s, with some even evolving into huge A-listers in Hollywood. This further raised a query on the future of the next installment, but it appears, season 3 is still in the cards.
EuphoriaSeason 3 Is Eyeing to Release Next Year
Since last year’s historic WGA strike, the next installment in the acclaimed HBO series has been stuck in creative limbo. But according to Deadline, HBO is finally rolling the ball on Sam Levinson’s creation, which is expected to film later this year and premiere next year. However, fans have raised doubts about the teen drama, as most actors have long surpassed their teen and young adult phase, with Zendaya and Sweeneyenjoying notable successoutside the HBO drama.

While the early drafts for the show reportedly saw a five-year time jump, which would’ve seen many meaty arcs forSydney Sweeneyand Jacob Elordi, sourcesclaimed the scripts didn’t sit well with Zendaya. Moreover, Angus Cloud’s tragic demise also played a major role in the show getting delayed, as apparently, he was heavily featured in Levinson’s initial concept for the show.
With nothing completely transparent about the subject regarding the third chapter in the life of the High Schoolers, fans joked about it no longer being in line with a teen drama.

If it’s right for the characters and everything turns out the way it should, of course. But it’s beyond me

“I still have the receipts”: Zendaya’s Close Friend Law Roach isn’t Afraid to Rub Gucci and Prada’s Egregious Mistake in Their Faces They Will Forever Regret
As of now, nothing can’t be said for certain about what direction the show will take next, and considering the age of its major stars, a time jump might be necessary.
