From the beginning, you cancreate a familyand control them, whether it is one person or many. One of the major choices for each character is what stage of life they will start their journey in. From there, they will progress through life, experiencing each stage, until they meet their end.
What surprises does each stage of life offer your Zois in InZOI? Let’s break it down.
Every Stage of Life in InZOI
There are six stages of life that you’re able to choose when creating a character in InZOI. Overall, there are nine stages of life. The infant, toddler, and adolescent stages cannot be chosen when creating a character. Rather, this has to occur naturally. The other stages of life are child, teenager, young adult, adult, middle-aged, and senior.

Each stage lasts for a definite number of days, with the adult and senior stages lasting the longest, followed closely by the middle-aged stage of life. As per the game, each day of game time is equal to 96 minutes of time in real life.
Because of this, you may expect a Zoi to live for approximately six real-life days, from being a newborn to reaching seniority. Those who start in the young adult stage can expect their Zoi to live for around five real-life days. Let’s break these down further.
Infant/Newborn Stage
Infancy is the very first stage of life that a Zoi goes through. After being born, they will experience this stage of life for about one in-game day or 96 real-time minutes.
While infants do need to be cared for, they are quite easy to neglect in InZOI because a babysitter will appear if you leave the house. During this stage, you can mostly interact with the child to bond it with another Zoi, but you can mostly ignore infants until the toddler stage due to this stage of life being so short.
Toddler Stage
The second stage of a Zoi’s life is a little less easy to ignore, though you’re able to still have a babysitter do most of the work, and the child will be fine. Ignoring responsibility is part of whatmakes this game so cozy, after all. During this stage, however, you can focus more on the child’s needs and feed them.
Toddlers have the most basic needs of any Zoi in the game, such as hunger, hygiene, sleep, etc. It is important during this time to make sure the child is fed, interacted with, and cared for. This is done by spending time with the child through the interactions menu.
Child/Adolescent Stages
The child and adolescent stages are mostly the same. This is when you finally have control over the Zoi and can have them care for themselves for the most part. The parents will still need to interact with the Zoi for social needs and to aid in certain circumstances, and the child will need to attend school.
During this stage, you’re able to select the Zoi’s trait, giving them a personality. You cannot, however, give them a life goal yet, as they are not developed enough.

Teenager Stage
Teenagers are capable of caring for themselves, interacting with more of the environment, and being treated as a real Zoi. At this stage, the Zoi has graduated from elementary and middle school and is moving on to high school.
This stage of life lasts for approximately 480 real-time minutes or about 8 hours. During this stage, they will not have access to the job market.
Young Adult Stage
Congratulations, your Zoi is officially on the way to adulthood. During the young adult stage, your Zoi will have progressed through high school and is ready to enter the real world.
Young adults are able to start theircareer pathand get access to the desired life selection, giving them a goal on how they wish to live their life. This is the fourth-longest stage of life, lasting approximately 960 real-time minutes or about 16 hours.

Adult Stage/Middle-Aged Stages
The adult and middle-aged stages of life are very similar in InZOI. During this time, your Zoi will continue to work and go through life as normal without any major changes other than slowing down.
During these stages, your Zoi will have access to making a family, though the game does not have a specific age limit on this feature. These stages are the longest span of life for your Zoi and, when combined, last approximately 2 real-life days.
Senior Stage
Seniority is the final stage of a Zoi’s life. During this time, they will retire and move on to live the rest of their lives in bliss.
Of all the life stages, seniority is the longest and lasts approximately 3,360 real-time minutes or about 2 real-time days. This stage of life is equivalent to the two previous ones combined and represents the ages of 55 and up. At the end of this stage, your Zoi will die of old age.
