As one of the most anticipated games of the fall,Marvel’s Avengershas been gearing up for release in a big way with its beta this month. Ahead of its launch next month, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics havebegun the beta periodforMarvel’s Avengersto let players try out the upcoming superhero game, from parts of its single-player campaign to its co-op missions and more.

Announced by Square Enix previously, last weekend saw PS4 owners getting their first chance to dive into theAvengersbeta for those that pre-ordered the game, and Xbox One and PC players that pre-ordered will get to play this coming weekend. After that, the beta will open up to all players across PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this month.

With that in mind, we want to turn to theDualShockersfor this Insta-Forum and ask:What did you think of theMarvel’s Avengersbeta so far (for those that played it)?Has it lived up to expectations? What do you hope to see improved or tweaked once the game finally launches? Which character do you like playing the most?Let us know in the comments below.

Our own managing editor Logan Mooregot hands-on time withMarvel’s Avengersprior to the launch of the PS4 closed beta, and overall his impressions of the game seemed to be mixed. From the sound of it there is plenty of content and missions worth digging into the game when it launches, and the beta does a good job of demonstrating that. However, the reliance on a “games-as-a-service” model seems to be a bit more of a mixed bag inMarvel’s Avengers, with Logan detailing that the characters feel and play a bit too similarly to one another.

Based onwhat I played of the game last year at New York Comic Con, I’m interested to see how Crystal Dynamics' take on these characters can make the game stand out from other iterations of the Marvel universe. However, the gameplay left me wanting a bit more, and hopefully once the open beta kicks up I can try it out for myself to see how far the game has come since then.

Marvel’s Avengerswill release for PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC on June 21, 2025, and will arrive for PS5 and Xbox Series X at a later date.
