Square Enix and V-Jump revealed new information on theDragon Quest: The Adventure of Dainew anime and games projectson May 27via a live stream.May 27 isDragon Questday, celebrating the release anniversary of the firstDragon Questin 1986. The stream first focused on the new anime, and we covered the detailsin another article.When the game part of the stream started, Yuji Horii explained threeDragon Quest: The Adventure of Daigames will be announced. All three games are part of the “Dragon Quest: Adventure of Dai Game Project”. The trailers and details for each game are below.

The stream featuredDragon Quest’s Yuji Horii,Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Daiwriter Riku Sanjo, and the newly revealed cast. Square Enix and Dragon Quest Director Ryutaro Ichimura was present too.

The first game revealed wasDragon Quest Dai no Daibouken Tamashii no Kizuna, coming to iOS and Android in 2021. The game is developed by Dena. More info on the game will be coming in Fall 2020, around when the anime starts in October 2020.

The second game announced wasDragon Quest Dai no Daibouken Xross Blade, coming to arcade after Fall 2020. It’s pronounced Cross Blade. It’s a card battle based game. The game is developed by TakaraTomy Arts, the company behind popular arcade gamesPretty Rhythm, PriPara and Prichan,part of thePretty Seriesfranchise. Dai’s new seiyuu Atsumi Tanezaki played the game live during the stream for around ten minutes. You can watch that at the 1:37:00 timestamp linked below:

Lastly, here’s the third game:

The third and final game wasInfinity Strash Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai.It’s an action RPG. No platforms were revealed besides that it’s coming to consoles in 2021. Some screenshots and a trailer were shown too.Infinity Strashwill take a “lot of time to complete” according to Square Enix' Ryutaro Ichimura and it’ll be the last game of the three to release. As the game part ended, Yuji Horii said each of the three games have their own appeal so you should look forward to all three. Ryutaro Ichimura from Square Enix also explained why Square Enix decided to make three different games. It’s mainly to adapt to the times: The mobile game was decided as many players are now used to free to play games. The arcade game aims for families, with parents who grew up with the manga playing it with their children and make new memories. And the console game is a straight forward answer to the fans' expectations when it comes to aDai no Daiboukengame.
