One Piecehas a vast range of characters which include a lot of unconventional tropes. Characters are not single dimensional and all major and even some minor characters have been beautifully fleshed out. Eiichiro Oda takes great care to make his characters realistic (excuse Zoro’s sense of direction).
There are also several anti-heroes in the series, including Roronoa Zoro, who has a past of being a bounty hunter and assassin, and very little moral obligations if it comes to saving the Straw Hats. But as the Elbaph arc progresses, another prospect of an anti-hero emerges.

The mysterious character of the exiled Prince Loki has caused a lot of debate amongst fans. Is Loki evil or is he just a prince who has been wrongly wrongly detained?

In the latest chapters of One Piece, Luffy discovered a chained Loki within the mountains of Elbaph. The prince had actually sethis sights on a Devil Fruitthat had been passed down along the generations of Elbaph’s royal family. Since it put him into conflict with his father, King Harald, Loki killed the Kingto obtain and consume the Devil Fruit for himself.However, Loki was captured and has since been chained and detained on the island.
However, aOne Piecetheory suggests that Loki might not be the Shame of Elbaph that the story so far has painted him to be. There is a chance that he disobeyed and killed his father because Harald was an evil king. If that is so then rather than being a villainous character, he is just an anti-hero who was trying to usurp his father

Loki wanted to marry Lola but since she ran away, his marriage was fixed with Chiffon, but, the giant refused to marry her. Given that both characters look almost the same, Loki might have actually loved Lola’s personality and not looks since she was a free spirited pirate woman. Rather than being a hard-headed guy who could gain anything he desired, he might just be in love, and acted accordingly by annulling the marriage. He might have also been inspired by Lola’s rebellion against Big Mom.
If King Harald is an evil father just like Big Mom, Loki has all the reasons to defy him. The Buccaneers are a species who are part-giant, yet they had been mercilessly driven to near-extinction. King Harald commanded an entire military of giants, which is said to be the world’s strongest. Yet, he never helped the Buccaneers during their dire moment.

The theory claims that Harald might have been a corrupt and evil king, who had immense ruling powerand a legendary fruit which he only used for selfish purposes. Loki took the fruit and killed his father, but his actions were made to look like those of a villain. In fact, Loki might even be similar to Vivi, whose story was twisted to make her a villain in her own country. Much like Vivi, Luffy encountered the Prince of Elbaph early on. Thus, it is entirely possible that Loki’s story was also twisted to keep him away from power and from gaining sympathy and followers.
