Vince Zampella, the Head of Respawn & Group GM for EA, has revealed that the nextBattlefieldgame will remind hardcore fans of two highly popularBattlefieldgames:Battlefield 3and4.
Battlefield 2042took the franchise in a new direction but now it seems like EA plans to go back to its roots.Battlefield 3and4played a key role in popularising the franchise among a wider audience, so EA is clearly using the nostalgia factor to market the next game.
NextBattlefieldGame Will Remind Players OfBattlefield 3And4
In September, Vince Zampella, the Head of Respawn & Group GM for EA, appeared for an interview withIGNand shared some interesting information about the next game in theBattlefieldseries. He explained,
I mean, if you look back to the peak or the pinnacle of Battlefield, it’s that Battlefield 3… Battlefield 4 era where everything was modern. And I think we have to get back to the core of what Battlefield is and do that amazingly well, and then we’ll see where it goes from there. But I think for me, it’s that peak of Battlefield-ness is in that Battlefield 3 and 4 days. So I think it’s nostalgic for players, for me, for the teams even.
It was confirmed earlier this year thatBattlefield 2042will move away from a seasonal structure because the studios must start focusing on the future of the franchise. So, it is safe to say that the development of the next game is in full swing.

As mentioned above, EA tried to move into a new direction withBattlefield 2042, taking away some crucial game mechanics that theBattlefieldfranchise was known for. Leaning is one such example as this important FPS game mechanic was removed from the game although it was a part of almost everyBattlefieldgame in the past. Not much is known about the next game in the series but there isa rumorthat claims that the leaning mechanic is making a comeback.
