Hugh Jackman became popular worldwide after taking on the role of Wolverine in 20th Century Fox’sX-Menfranchise. Starting from 2000’sX-Men,the Australian actor has appeared in numerous movies and even earned a Guinness Record of longest career as a live-action Marvel character. He was then surpassed by his own co-star, Sir Patrick Stewart, for the character Professor X, after his cameo inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Hugh Jackman won’t be left behind, though, as he is coming back to reclaim his title after announcing his unretirememt from the superhero role. He will be back to play Wolverine in Ryan Reynolds’Deadpool 3, which is set in the MCU, and will be the first time X-Men characters will become part of the Marvel timeline. But this longest running live-action character’s title was not easy to achieve, as Jackman suffered many injuries in his tenure.

The Worst Injury Hugh Jackman Suffered as Wolverine
In the year 2000, during his first foray into the superhero world,Hugh Jackmanwas excited to take on the role of the fan-favorite character of Wolverine. Little did he know that it would also lead to him suffering the worst injury while playing the mutant. Dropping down the side of the Statue of Liberty, while being attached to wires, Hugh Jackman suffered the worst ever injury when his groin got tangled in a harness.
The actorrecountedhow his “wedding tackle” got caught in the harness while he was dangling from the Statue of Liberty.

“That was pretty brutal. I screamed so much, and they kept going because they figured it was me primal-yell emoting.”
Unfortunately for the actor, it took a little long for the rest of the people present to catch up to what was happening, as most of them thought he was just giving his animalistic best as Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman will soon be back on our screens as the arrogant, gruffy, and downright rude mutant. Now, the actor has taken up the mantle once more and will be seen alongside Ryan Reynolds for the movieDeadpool 3. Though we are not yet sure where the character’s story will lead after the events of Deadpool 3, fans are always ready to speculate about their favorite characters.
