Marvel Rivals’beta is underway, offering players a glimpse into NetEase Games’ new hero shooter. The game boasts many heroes, each bringing something unique to the table. While every hero is viable if used correctly, some haven’t managed to appease the fans due to their lackluster playstyle and mediocre kit.

In particular, Hulk has been underwhelming in the game and has generally been a low-tier pick. Furthermore, the recently released Venom seems to fulfill the same role as Hulk but is performing much better.
Hulk Sees Early Woes in Marvel Rivals
Even thoughMarvel rivalsisn’t fully out yet and is just in the beta phase, a meta has already started to form. As one would expect, some heroes have a higher pick rateand generally yield better results when compared to others.
The Real Hero of Deadpool & Wolverine Gets a Marvel Rivals Concept That Should Force NetEase into Putting Them in the Game ASAP
Unfortunately for The Avengers’ green giant, it doesn’t seem like the hero is performing well in the game and has generally been low on the priority list. According to a Reddit user u/Boring-Passenger-598, the hero provides nothing substantial.
Hulk’s damage is low, and even his survivability is low despite being a tank. Once he dies, he turns into Bruce Banner, where his output is very low, essentially just becoming an additional body on the battlefield. Furthermore, it takes pretty long for him to transform again, and more often than not, that is not enough.

What’s even more frustrating is that the latest hero, Venom, is one of the best characters to pick right now. Naturally, this has sent Hulk down the pecking order, and until we see a meta reform or buffs fromNetEase Games, he is likely to remain unpopular in the game.
What Heroes to Pick for Easy Wins in Marvel Rivals?
While some heroes might not be in a good state, there are several heroes to pick from. As mentioned before, if you are looking for a similar character in a tank role, Venom might be the way to go. He is incredibly tanky and also does decent damage.

For players that have a more aggressive playstyle and are looking for damage dealers, Hela and Scarlet Witch are two good options. Hela has a pretty long range and usually can deal a lot of damage from the backline. However, she isn’t an easy hero to play and requires some practice.
On the other hand, Scarlet Witch generally excels at mid-range and has a more bruiser-oriented playstyle. She is also one of the most picked heroes right now. Lastly, if you want to play a supporting character, Luna Snow is a good choice since her kit packs strong buffing abilities and heals.

What do you think about Hulk’s state in the game? What are the buffs needed to make him a viable pick? Let us know in the comments below.
