Marvel’s Spider-Man 2was released a while ago and was a phenomenal follow-up to the original game. The narrative was simple and concise but the gaming community is ready to dive back in and see where the developers can take the story through post-launch content.
The fans had high expectations for the sequel, especially after the first one did incredibly well and so did the spinoff game; however, Insomniac Games became a victim of a vicious cyberattack that put everything in jeopardy. The intended roadmap could have been altered after the hack.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Fans Have Mixed Feelings About the Upcoming Update
Ever since the sequel dropped, the gaming community has noticed the developers’ significant efforts to improve the wardrobe of the web-slingers but also noticed some were omitted from the original game, which was a missed opportunity. Insomniac Games recently announced a new update that will feature a new batch of cosmetic items and while it is good to have more options, it isn’t what they need.

It wasn’t long ago when the developers accidentally leaked future content planned for the game,one of which involved Tombstone. Perhaps the developers took some precautions and made some drastic changes to avoid any more issues and conflicts for the game’s future. The leaks have forced the developer’s hand to deviate from the original roadmap.

It isn’t fair for the studio to make some adjustments because of one heinous act but had to make the best out of the hand they were dealt with. Perhaps the developers decided to give away these new cosmetic items as they work on major content like upcoming expansions that were leaked earlier and ensure that the quality is on par with the base game.
Insomniac Games Needs to up Their Game for Post-Launch Content for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
It wasn’t long after the sequel was released that the gaming community threw many ridiculous ideas that they believed would be interesting for the game.Fans even suggested including the T-Rex variant of Spider-Man as a playable skinas seen inSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which is unlikely but a funny idea altogether.
It is unfortunate for the developers to deal with but it is what it is. Insomniac has to pick up the pieces and make some compromises where they can. The developers must have high expectations for the original plan and know it could have been great and still aimed for that level of success but are taking their sweet time to come up with an equally impressive plan amidst the leak.

In the wake of recent security breaches, game studios will likely re-evaluate and enhance their security measures to prevent similar incidents. Developers should devise comprehensive backup plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure the continuity of their projects.
There is nothing wrong with new skins, and it will most likely encourage the players to restart the campaign with new outfits. The community should bear with the developers, especially after a major breach in security.
