The First Descendant Is Already Getting the First Complaints From Players

Despite the saturation of titles in this genre, Nexon, a South Korean studio, takes a chance to attract players to their new game. That’s why they recently launchedThe First Descendant, a free-to-play, third-person action PvE game with looter shooter mechanics. So far, the reception of the game seems quite positive, but some players are already making complaints regarding the performance of the title.

This title’s PS5 version isn’t working properly, according to several players. Recall that the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC also saw the release of this title.

Therefore, the game’s poor performance on a single platform, particularly one as popular as Sony’s current generation platform, is not a positive sign for the studio. The community has posted numerous complaints on different social networking platforms.

Nexon Should Control the Quality of This Specific Version

In a recent Reddit post, you can clearly see how this version of the game looks totally grainy. Apparently, the entire scenery does not load as it should, making the infamous jagged edges in the graphics overly noticeable.

Some users even complain that after certain parts, the game does not run at more than 15 FPS, making it impossible to enjoy. The players are pretty frustrated with these issues.

These kinds of issues are quite common in newly released free-to-play games. Because these games are free, players tend not to voice their complaints as much, but Nexon should still maintain control over the performance of this title.

Some players even confessed to switching to the PS4 version for better performance and overall gameplay. Not the best solution—you should be able to play anywhere.

The First Descendant’sgameplay is very similar to whatDestiny 2offered at the time. Nexon took advantage of the fact that Bungie’s game was about to present some of its last content and launched this new looter shooter.

Warhaven, one of the previous titles from this studio, did not achieve the success this company expected, and it stopped adding content. The studio is aiming for better success with this game.

I’m a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
