Whether or not humans eatPokémonin the games, anime, and manga is a long-standing question. However, the subject is constantly changing because there is a lot of material to analyze and a lot of new media released each year. Masuda has been there since the beginning ofPokémon. Now if he doesn’t know about it, then there is no way normal fans like us would ever get a clue about the darkest truth of the franchise. Or he might be hiding something from us, something that would disappoint us, hurt us.
This might be about the harsh reality, a reality that defines the inevitable food chain, the survival of the fittest. How could he explain that to us? We have loved these powerful yet adorable creatures since the beginning. Now, if someone suddenly comes up and shows them on a plate with a fork and a knife placed on each side, then it is going to give us nightmares only, unlike Ash and Brock.
