The first arc of the finale saga, Egghead Island has changed the entire viewpoint ofOne Piece. The arc has not only made some major revelations, but it also has introduced some major mysteries that have baffled the fans. Among those mysteries, the biggest one was probably the unveiling of the Great Kingdom.

Although the Great Kingdom was introduced very early in the story, the series has just brought it back and it is discussed by Dr. Vegapunk. He explained that the Iron Giant which the fans saw during the beginning of the Egghead arc, was a part of the Great Kingdom. He also explained how the Great Kingdom was much more technologically advanced than the present.
While this has opened the way to a whole lot of new exciting theories and mysteries, it might not be a good thing for Eiichiro Oda. Oda has once revealed that he has a weakness when it comes to drawing mechas and robots. This is going to trouble him a lot in the future as the Great Kingdom is going to hold a lot of importance later in the series.

Eiichiro Oda Can Draw Machines And Robots
In an old discussion with the legendAkira Toriyama, the creator ofDragon Ball, which was later published in theOne Pieceartbook, Color Walk 1, and later shared byThegrandline, Oda confessed his weakness regarding machines and robots. He admitted to the fact that he don’t know anything about them, thus he cannot draw them perfectly.
One Piece: The Iron Giant’s Awakening Might Finally Reveal the 1 Burning Question That’s Yet to Be Explained by Eiichiro Oda in the Series
Oda stated:
“That is why it is amazing. You don’t usually think of ideas like that. I don’t know a thing about machines at all, so I can’t draw them. Well, the shape [of the entire mecha] does not have to be practical in real life.”
Oda and Toriyama discussed the logic behind drawing the robots and mechas and how it does not have to be practical in real life. Although Oda has a problem drawing robots, he did a great job with Vegapunk’s satellites, Franky, and even the Iron Giant. However, his problems are just getting started.

Drawing The Great Kingdom Will Not Be Easy For Eiichiro Oda
Professor Clover was the one who made the first reference to the Great Kingdom during a flashback to the Ohara Incident. Clover declared that he was aware of the kingdom with cutting-edge technology that had battled the World Government. The Great Kingdom was a historical empire that was thought to be extensive, honorable, and formidable.
Its name is still a secret, and all references to it and its past have been removed. It was a threat to the Twenty Kingdoms and appeared to have been completely annihilated by them over 800 years ago,at the end of the Void Century. According to Vegapunk, the Great Kingdom’s technical accomplishments greatly exceeded modern science.

If Vegapunk’s theory holds any credence, the Great Kingdom is going to hold a lot of significance in the future ofOne Pieceand it will prove to be a challenge forEiichiro Oda, to draw the entire technologically advanced Kingdom when robots and mechas are his biggest weakness.
