Henry Cavill may not be reprising his role as the Man of Steel anytime soon, but fans don’t need to burst into tears for him. The Hollywood Reporter discovered that the actor was paid a whopping $250,000 ‘each’for his brief appearances inBlack AdamandThe Flash.

Yes, that’s what it is—a quarter of a million dollars for just a few minutes of screen time. Not bad for a day’s work, right? While some may feel sorry for Cavill for not getting the chance to star in James Gunn’s 2025Supermanrelease, it’s abundantly clear that the actor isn’t hurting for cash. Also, compared toWonder Womanstar Gal Gadot, theImmortalsactor received a higher salary for his brief cameos in other DC flicks.
Cavill was a hot commodity at Warner Bros. Pictures before Gunn and Safran were named co-CEOs of DC Studios. Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy, the studio’s co-chiefs, were eager to continue theMan of Steelfranchise, with Cavill leading the way.

However, when Gunn and Peter Safran intervened, theArgyllestar was forced to make cameo appearances in other DC flicks before leaving altogether.

But only a month and a half later, the actor, 40, announced in anInstagrampost that, after meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran, he would not be returning as Superman:
“After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life. The changing of the guard is something that happens. I respect that..”

Thus, his nearly ten-year run as the beloved comic book character came to an end disappointingly, especially since fans werebeginning to get reallyexcited about anotherSupermanmovie. Cavill performed an amazing job as Clark Kent/Superman in the DC Extended Universe (2013–2023).
But do not worry about the actor—it has now been revealed that he was paid an astounding $250,000 each for his cameos in two more DC movies:Black Adam&The Flash(perThe Hollywood Reporter). AnotherTHRreport suggested that this whopping amount for his two brief cameos as Superman was even greater thanGal Gadot’s $300,000 salary for her lead role inWonder Woman.

Well, Cavill worked on these movies prior to James Gunn and Peter Safran assuming joint CEO duties at DC Studios. The report also claimed that the actor was in high demand prior to Gunn and Safran’s involvement, as Warner Bros. Pictures co-chiefs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy were keen to make aMan of Steelsequel starring him.
