The war for Super Earth inHelldivers 2has been a rough one as of late, largely due to the recent controversy that stopped players from over 177 countries from logging into the game, which has led to a large number of failed major orders.

However, the most recent major order, which has been announced on both the official Discord channel and the Twitter/X page, is surely going to bring a lot of players back into the fray, as there is potential for a major turn in the war for the universe.
Helldivers 2 Takes on Drastic Measures as a New Weapon Becomes Available to Achieve the Next Major Order
If you have been keeping up with the recentHelldivers 2news, you will have likely heard of the new weaponized material, Dark Fluid. This new weapon was teased by theHelldivers 2developers in a short video not long ago.
MAJOR ORDER: OPERATION “ENDURING PEACE"The time has come. We must eradicate the Meridia Supercolony via experimental deployment of weaponized Dark Fluid. The destruction of an entire planet is a tragedy – but the tyrannical Terminids leave us no choice. Good luck, Helldivers.pic.twitter.com/155a9bCnfV

During this video, players were told that this new weapon was being tested in a research facility, which unfortunately took a bad turn for the worse as the Dark Fluid became unstable and created a miniature Black Hole that led to some researchers turning into spaghetti.
“Spaghettified 12 facility members…”: Helldivers 2’s Latest Broadcast Includes New Weapons and Wormholes, and it All Sounds Like the Start of the Illuminate Joining the Fight
In light of this horrifying information being released, it has now been announced that the Dark Fluid weapon will be put to the test in the field as players will have to utilise this new weapon against the Terminids in an attempt to put a stop to them once and for all.
However, there is a slight risk with using this new weapon, as this major order does also discuss the potential to destroy a planet in the process of clearing away the Terminid threat. This will be done by deploying partial payloads of Dark Fluid onto the planet, which, once enough is gathered within the planet, will accumulate together, creating a superdense mass that will implode the entire planet!

This New Weapon Could Lead to a Black Hole and the Potential for a New Enemy to Enter the War
If this major order does succeed, there is the potential that the Illuminate may finally make their way into the galaxyafter seeing that Super Earth is finally ready for another confrontation with a superior force.
“It’d probably be great for bots, awful for bugs”: Helldivers 2 Fans Unite to Demand a Battle Tank Stratagem
Whether the Illuminate enter the galaxy through regular ships or whether they have Black Hole technology that allows them to travel through it, we do not know, but so far, this new form of war is worrying as it seems to be building up to something much bigger.
In the past, new technology has been used to attempt to battle the Terminid threat in terms of gas weapons, which at first cleared the Terminids from select planets until said gas began to mutate them into bigger threats. Now we must ask ourselves: What will this new weapon do? Will it bring the Illuminate, or will it mutate the Terminids further?

What do you think about the use of this new black hole-generating weapon? Are you worried about the future ofHelldivers 2? Do you think Dungeon Master Joel is preparing for a boss fight? Let us know in the comments what you think!
