This may not be believed, but it has only been 7 years sinceStar Wars Battlefront 2was released and developed by Electronic Arts and published by DICE, and it wasn’t as bad as everyone thought.

Back when the game was released, there were plenty of issues that had been addressed over the years, but now Electronic Arts has learned from its mistakes, and after the successful release ofStar Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, and evenStar Wars: Outlaws, it is time for a new Battlefront game.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Had Its Issues, but Luckily a Third Installation Won’t Make Those Same Errors

One of the game’s main issues that irritated players was its monetisation and loot boxes that restricted items. At the time the game was released, it was incredibly popular for paid loot boxes to be included within games.

These paid loot boxes were incredibly tedious and would regularly cause players to receive items they didn’t want or didn’t need, leaving them with nothing to show for their hard work.

Along with obtaining useless items, players would also be able to acquire overpowered items, causing the system to be dubbed a pay-to-win system as players could spend money to acquire items to improve their gameplay.

Paid loot Boxes eventually got to the point of being investigated for being a form of gambling and eventually were removed from the game, leaving the option to purchase cosmetic items only, while only being able to collect items that benefit gameplay through actually playing the game itself.

After these changes, the game began to grow in many ways, as it is still played to this day by hundreds of players around the world and has even received updates adding new characters to the game; however, none of these updates have been recent.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Did a Lot of Things Right in the End

Throughout theBattlefrontfranchise, there have been multiple games, which were created by multiple studios, and the originalBattlefront 2is deemed one of the best versions of the franchise by far.

However, this version of the game did have its moments in which it managed to shine, such as its single-player story that allowed us to take control of a whole new character in a brand-new story that takes place moments after the second Death Star blows up over Endor.

Along with its multiplayer mode that spans all of the 9 films as of its most recent update, which allowed players to enjoy all of the different eras of the Star Wars saga.

What made the game so unique was its locations, which were stunningly designed and had so much detail within them that players are still in awe to this day, as each location had such an impact that it made you feel like you were in the battle itself.

Speaking of battling, at first players weren’t too happy with the way the combat felt inBattlefront 2, but after many reworks, the battles did begin to feel a lot more fun and balanced, especially for those playing as the heroes or villains.

There Are Plenty of Stories, Characters, and Locations Battlefront 3 Can Include From the Recent Shows and Films

Even though the films are now over, that doesn’t mean that theStar Warsuniverse is put to rest. With dozens of TV shows, video games, and books, there are plenty of ideas to use.

Imagine being able to fight as The Mandalorian on the planet of Mandalore with Moff Gideon trying to stop you in your tracks. Or reliving Kal Cestis fighting the Second Sister in the underwater base of Nur.

Star Wars Outlaws’ Narrative and Gameplay Shortcomings Are Baffling, But Ultimately Explain Its Lacklustre Performance

There are plenty of options to choose from, along with plenty of new skills, new weapons, new vehicles, and so much more thatElectronic Artscould use to create a whole newBattlefrontexperience.

No matter what, there are plenty of ways Electronic Arts could go withBattlefront 3, and after the fact thatStar Warsgaming has been improving rapidly with positive feedback all around, it would make sense to keep that progress going with a newBattlefront 3.
