2023 has been one ‘hell’ of a year for Marvel’s MCU. From massively underperforming movies and TV shows to backlash over storylines, Marvel witnessed one of its worst years since the start of its cinematic reign a decade ago. However, the ‘icing on the cake’ was Jonathan Majors’ firing, who was playing MCU’s next big thing, Kang the Conqueror.
Now, as Marvel has been busy changing or reforming their plans, fans have taken on themselves to suggest possible replacements to the actor. After John Boyega, Lakeith Stanfield, and Chukwudi Iwuji, Colman Domingo, has been hailed as the new fan-favorite cast. Even a Marvel star has shown support for Domingo to make his Marvel debut as Kang.

Kang the Conqueror was slated to be Marvel’s ultimate protagonist after Thanos. Not only was he supposed to be the ‘center of everything’ but also had a whole movie surrounding him calledAvengers: The Kang Dynasty,which has now been renamed to justAvengers 5.
In such a scenario, where the actor and the character had a major role in one of the world’s biggest movie franchises, it would be a good idea to either replace or tone down the character a notch, instead of erasing it whole. One Marvel star,Ginger Gonzaga, thinksColman Domingowould be the best actor to be the new Kang.
Posting onX, theShe-Hulkactress expressed how she hopes the rumors of Domingo as a potential Kang replacement turn out to be true and that she hopes “the writing for him is dynamic as is he as a performer.”
While it is true that Domingo is one of the most talented actors and performers who could take on the role, these are all just rumors. Despite these being just rumors, fans are, nonetheless, more than excited to have the actor as a potential Kang the Conqueror replacement in MCU’s next projects.

Even Fans Agree Colman Domingo Would Be A Great Kang
Just a while ago, scooperDaniel Richtmanrevealed that Marvel is potentially considering having Colman Domingo as Kang replacement in its future projects. While these are all rumors, the news of his supposed casting tooksocial mediaby storm, and many were elated to know the same.
Numerous MCU fans seem to be excited and have been claiming that Domingo can give Marvel a new lease of life after its recent box-office disappointments. Some even as far ahead to state that the actor’s casting would increase their interest in the MCU after the superhero fatigue going around among fans.
Furthermore, not only has Domingo shown his remarkable acting prowess in projects likeFear The Walking Dead,The Color Purple,andRustin, but he has also been awarded numerous accolades including a Primetime Emmy Award, and a nomination for a Golden Globe Award, which proves he is more than equipped to take on a role as crucial as Kang.
If these are all rumors, Marvel should perhaps look into the matter and have Doming on board for real seeing the vast public support he has been receiving after the rumored cast news.
