But it was during this operation that Sasha was shot and killed by Gabi, a young girl seeking revenge against Survey Corps andEren Yeager.
However, recently, @AoTJewels revealed on Twitter that Sasha Braus was actually meant to be killed off much earlier in the story.

The tweet explains that it was during episode 27 of the second season, when Sasha visits her hometown and rescues a young girl from a Titan, the creator ofAttack on Titan,Hajime Isayama, had originally planned to kill off Sasha’s character.

But Isayama ended up changing his mind when his editor locked himself in the bathroom and cried upon hearing the news. Instead, Sasha’s death was ultimately postponed and she was killed off much later.
