One of the most feared legendary monsters from Greek Mythology is Scylla. This man-eating beast happens to have claimed the lives of many unfortunate sailors, and she is here inHades 2to stop Melinoe from reaching Chronos with the help of her siren friends Roxy and Jetty.
She is the guardian of Oceanus, the second area of the game. Similar to theHecatefight, Scylla also has three phases. But what makes this fight different is, unlike Hecate, Scylla won’t be fighting you alone.

Hades 2 Update Adds Secret Form To All Nocturnal Arms As It Approaches 1.0 Release
Hades 2 is getting ready for its 1.0 launch with its latest update.
Scylla and her sirens all have different playstyles, which makes the fight very interesting. One moment you are trying to avoid the Casts from Roxy, the next you are dodging Jetty’s dash attack. All this while also not getting hit by the various projectiles Scylla shoots at you.

So, start praying to Poseidon even if Oceanus isn’t exactly his domain. Here is how you can beat Scylla in Hades 2.
How To Prepare For The Scylla Fight
Since Scylla and Sirens have quite different attacks,it is ideal that you take on some Boons for your Cast and Special. As Roxy is the drummer, she is stuck in her place. This is where a powerful Cast will help you out.
Meanwhile, a good Special will let you do more damage with ranged attacks when you are using weapons like the Witch’s Staff or the Sister Blades.

For Casts, you should go for the following:
As for Specials, you should pick Demeter’s Ice Flourish, which makes your specials deal more damage and inflict freeze on the target. Or Hestia’s Flame Flourish, which hits the enemy with scorch. Depending on your weapon and playstyle, you could also go for otherBoons.
How To Beat Scylla In Hades 2
The best way to beat Scylla is by taking care of Roxy and Jetty first and then going after her. Scylla and the sirens share 1 health bar, but as the fight progresses, their moves change.
In the first phase of the fight, you should try spending some time learning their attacks and how to dodge them. This is important because this moveset carries over to the next phase for two of the three enemies.

Long-awaited sequels and brand-new experiences round out the most anticipated games of 2025.
The second phase is the one where you need to be more careful. Here, one of the band members gets powered up. This enhances their movesand can make them harder to deal with.

Finally, the third phase is the easiest, but hereScylla spawns lots of Pinheads. These fish are super easy to kill, but as they attack you in such a huge group, it is easy to lose some health if you aren’t paying attention to which ones are charging towards you.
Here are all of their moves and how you can deal with them:
Scylla Phase 1
Description
Quad Beam Attack
Scylla fires four beams around her in a plus formation. While the beams are active, she spins in a counterclockwise direction.
Use long-distance specials while out of her attack range or dash through between the beams if you are fighting her up close.
Spiked Projectile Spread Shot
Scylla retreats in her shell, then shoots several spiked projectiles in a wide area.
Sprint away or dodge the attack.
Shriek Attack
Scylla has a red glow around her mic, after which she screeches and follows Melinoe around the arena. She also has a red blade-like spell constantly in front of her during this move.
Run away and use ranged attacks.
Scylla will attempt to smack you with her mic when you are standing or moving too close to her.
Dodge before the attack is about to hit you.
Homing Musical Note
Scylla often launches red glowing balls that have a musical note icon toward you. They are homing in nature, so you need to dodge them multiple times until they fizzle out.
Waves of Casts
Roxy creates 5 waves of red Casts that either move towards or away from her. You have to react quickly because you take damage if you are in the circle when it implodes.
Sprint or dodge away from the Cast.
Charged Dash
Jetty charges up her dash and launches herself at you.
Sprint or dodge away from her.
Bubble Blast
Jetty attacks Melinoe with bubble projectiles. These don’t deal you chip damage; they push you away and knock you out.
Run away from the bubbles.
Throwing Red Balls
Jetty throws balls in your general direction; these balls slowly bounce toward you and can rebound and change direction if they hit a wall.
Dodge to either side of the balls.
Since Roxy is a stationary target, I find her the easiest to eliminate, so I always go for her first. Do verify to move around because Jetty and Scylla will come after you when you spam your attacks only on her.
So, start the fight by attacking Roxy with your Omega Casts and normal or specials. Next, when the other two enemies are chasing you, run away to separate them from Roxy.
Here, you could attack the enemy with whoever moves you are most comfortable with. I prefer getting rid of Jetty next, as she has limited moves.
Go back and forth between attacking Roxy and Jetty. Once they have taken enough damage, they will shield themselves. Now, fight Scylla.
There are two gas canisters on both sides of the arena. You could attack them and trap Jetty or Scylla with your Cast to hit them with the gas. These do a lot of damage.
Once all three enemies shield themselves, the next phase starts when one of them becomes the “featured artist”.
Scylla Phase 2
Quad Beam with Spiked Projectiles
Scylla uses her quad beam attack like usual, but this time she also periodically shoots spiked projectiles.
Use dodge between the beams or run away from the attack while avoiding projectiles.
The red blades from her shriek have a longer range and have a better chance of hitting you if you get too close while she chases you.
Run away from her until the attack is over and use ranged attacks.
Multiple Musical Notes
Scylla launches 4 homing musical notes at you instead of 1 from her usual attack.
Covering half the arena with Cast
Scylla creates a red attack that either covers the area outside of Roxy’s drum or covers her.
Run away to the non-red section of the battlefield.
Frequent Waves Of Casts
Roxy uses several Casts across the arena and does them a lot more frequently until you eliminate her.
Stand outside the red Cast circle.
Charged Dash with Red Rings
Jetty creates a red ring that expands outward twice, first from the start and second at the endpoint of her dash.
Dodge the red ring while also avoiding getting hit by her dash.
This phase of the fight tests your adaptability to the enhanced versions of the existing moves of these enemies. The strategy is more or less the same.
You should prioritize eliminating Roxy first, especially if she is the featured artist. As for Scylla and Jetty, you can kill them at your convenience, irrespective of whether they are featured or not.
Roxy and Jetty go back to the water when they are defeated, and after you deal enough damage to Scylla, she retreats into her shell, indicating the start of the final phase.
Scylla Phase 3
Summoning Pinheads
An army of Pinhead fishes spawns repeatedly to aid Scylla in the fight.
Kill the Pinheads or trap most of them in a Cast to spam Scylla with your attacks.
This part of the fight is very easy. Scylla will be too focused on controlling her Pinhead army. Rush in and spam her with attacks when it is safe.
If you find too many Pinheads gathered or attacking you from all sides, you may eliminate a few of them before going back to Scylla.
Scylla Rewards
You get the following reward for beating Scylla:
You get a Pearl each time you defeat Scylla, and this is the only way to farm thisreagent. This material is needed if you want to unlock the Abyssal Insight incantation.
This incantation lets you interact with the Black stone on the training grounds. you may use it to complete trials that reward you with Stardust.
Aside from that, you also need a total of 6 Pearls to unlock two Weapon Aspects. You need 1 Pearl for Descura’s Aspect of Momus alongside 2 Limestones, and you need 5 Pearls with 1 Obol Points to unlock Moonstone Axe’s Aspect of Charon.
