It’s not often that Rockstar Games deploys a client-side patch forGrand Theft Auto V (GTA 5), but it looks like a brand new update is officially live across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Tuesday, May 17.

ORIGINAL STORY:The latestGTA 5update brings the game to version 1.42, and has a download size of around305MB, but this may vary depending on your platform. Today’s patch is reportedly live on last-gen consoles and PC.

Although many fans are speculating that today’s update is merely for bug fixes, there are some that believe the patch could include the next-gen features for PC.Last month’s updatesaw the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S game files added to the PC version of the game, but were not yet activated.

This caused many to speculate that next-gen improvements would soon be coming to PC, possibly in a later patch. However, this has yet to be confirmed byRockstar Games.

According to Twitter user GTANet, today’s update could possibly be a fix for the first person sniper aiming crash that was occurring across last-gen consoles and PC.
