Ninja Theory’sHellblade 2has been out for quite a while now and has received mostly positive reviews from fans and critics alike. The game has been praised for its visuals and sound among other things. One other thing in the game that’s been appreciated is the UI.

The game does a great job of providing a truly engaging experience with its UI, merging cutscenes and gameplay, butSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguedoes just the opposite. The game’s UI is one of the problems, showing that Rocksteady Studios fumbled with this.
Hellblade 2 Shines With Its UI While Suicide Squad Makes Things Worse
Hellblade 2seamlessly merges the cutscenes and gameplay, and it is so good that players sometimes find it hard to know when the cutscenes end and the gameplay starts. This is possible as the game completely ditches the UI and any button prompts.

While players can check the UI from the main menu, the experience is unmatched. Several other games do this with their UI, such asHellblade,Dead Space,Ghost of Tsushima, and others. But the UI in these games is very clean, and there is no overlaying, giving players the most immersive experience.
However, the UI inKill the Justice Leagueis cluttered with everything possible on the main screen. The UI in the game is messy, with numbers all over the screen, filters, objective info, character info such as speed, weapon names, and visual effects, which feels like too much.

It can be argued thatSuicide Squadis a live-service game and other games mentioned above are single-player games, but the UI in this game is needlessly spread out, covering almost every inch of the screen, making things worse for players.

The UI in Suicide Squad Makes You Forget The Developer Also Made Arkham Games
One Reddit user shared a few screenshots from the developer’sArkhamgames and the live-service game, showcasing the UI and compared them. They stated that the UI in theArkhamgames was minimized, but the live-service game just takes it to the next level.

The pictures they shared were screenshots from random clips and showed as much clutter on the screen as possible, as the UI features fade out when not in use, but still, the screen was pretty much filled fully. Several other players said that the quality of the developer’s work has deteriorated heavily in this game.
One player called the game“Suicide Squad: Kill on All Screen Comprehensibility,”while another added that they don’t think anyone who worked on theArkhamgames also worked on this. User DoktahDoktah said,“This was a game made by management and advertising. Not a shred of love was put into this game.”
