Genshin Impact Update 4.0: Release Date And Time

In a new tweet, HoYoverse confirmed that the Genshin Impact 4.0 update will be released across all platforms onTuesday, August 15th at 5 PM CT.Maintenance will last for approximately five hours, meaning players will not be able to play Genshin Impact during the course of the maintenance.

However, the developers are compensating players for the downtime, with 60 Primogems being awarded for each hour the game is down. If by any chance the maintenance finishes earlier, players are still guaranteed to get 300 Primogems, which can come in quite handy for your banner pulls.

Genshin Impact Update 4.0: All 4-Star Banner Characters

One of the aspects fans are always looking forward to with new updates is the banner characters, and after receiving backlash for missing out on a new character for the first time in the game’s history in the last update, Hoyoverse is back with a bang. The fabled duo, Lyney, and Lynette are joined by another sibling, Freminet, making it one of the most hyped banners to have released in the game. Alongside these characters, some other exciting characters also getting reruns.

The first phase of the 4.0 update contains two banners, with the first one, Conjuring Chiaroscuro, starring Lyney alongside 4-star characters Yelan (5-star Hydro Bow), Lynette (4-star Anemo Sword), Bennett (4-star Pyro Sword), Barbara (4-star Hydro Catalyst). The second banner, Discerner of Enigmas, stars Yelan, alongside the same lineup of 4-star characters. This banner will only be around for three weeks, after which we will be getting the second phase of the banner. For those who are looking for Freminet instead, you will have to wait until the second phase of the update.

The 4.0 update is a significant update since it marks the third anniversary of Genshin Impact, and sticking to their traditions, the developers are releasing a new region, Fontaine, as part of the update. There are tons of new events and quests that players will be able to take part in, and it’s just a matter of time before fans can start exploring the Land of Justice.
