Gege Akutami introduced several different characters in the final arc ofJujutsu Kaisen, and each of them is tangled in the struggle against Sukuna. Akutami has also given them their own battles so that they can prove their worthiness. But one fight which could have been much more popular, has been butchered by the author due to the pacing issues.

Hakari Vs. Uraume first began in chapter 237 ofJujutsu Kaisen. Ever since, Akutami has given fans random updates through scattered chapters, never showing which one amongst them would win. In fact, it’s almost as if the battle has been forgotten.
The Inconsistent Pacing of the Hakari Vs. Uraume Battle inJujutsu Kaisen
Chapter 237 ofJujutsu Kaisenshowed Uraume, who was in a hurry to reunite with Sukuna whenHakari stopped them. The next appearance of the battle is in chapter 245, which shows Uraume’s incredible ice powers that even shattered Hakari’s arm. When Hakari regenerated his lost limb in a flash, Uraume complimented his ability by saying that his regenerative speed even surpassed that of Sukuna and Gojo Satoru. Immediately afterward, Hakari is seen landing a strong blow on his opponent.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Akutami May Purposefully be Keeping Uraume and Hakari’s Fight in the Shadows to Serve as Sukuna’s Last Thread of Hope After Itadori’s Domain Expansion
Cut to chapter 254, Hakari and Uraume are seen discussing Sukuna’s new form. Next, Hakari claims that it is his faction that will win the battle. Uraume retorted by saying that the sorcerers should be ashamed of not presentinga better fighter than Satoru Gojofor Sukuna, who is clearly bored in the fights. According to Uraume, Sukuna wasn’t taking the battle seriously.
The very last panel in which Gege Akutami included Hakari and Uraume was in chapter 259. Unfortunately for fans, the characters only received one panel each, as Uraume claims that they have already won. The battered face of Yuji Itadori supports her point. This was the last that fans saw of the opposing forces.

Gege Akutami’s RushedJujutsu KaisenEnding Might Leave Hakari Vs. Uraume Battle Unexplained
When the Hakari Vs. Uraume fight was teased for the first time;Jujutsu Kaisenfans were extremely interested in a clash between these two powers. While the battle against Sukuna was going on in full force, Akutami often distracted fans with scenes from the ongoing Hakari Vs Uraume panels. Initially, fans were impressed by Hakari’s Domain Expansion as well as Uraume’s powers, but Akutami’sinconsistent pacing in the mangaruined the battle for fans.
The battle was a promise to show Hakari’s capabilities, yet even after 30 chapters, the results are yet to be in. The last glimpse of Hakari and Uraume appeared in chapter 259, and despite their earlier bouts, no side seems to have gained the upper hand. With only four more chapters left forJujutsu Kaisento end, fans are worried that the Hakari Vs. Uraume battle will be left unexplained.

“If this happens…”: Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 248 Could be the Last for Hakari and Fans are Not Ready
Sukuna remains undefeated so far, and Megumi’s status is also unknown. Nobara, on the other hand, has returned and is helping Yuji suppress Sukuna. With so many open plot points left and just four more chapters to go, it is next to impossible to provide an explanation for everything. Will Gege forget about Uraume and Hakari by the end ofJujutsu Kaisen? Only time will tell.
