Chapter 271 brings the six years of incredible storytelling to a close, leaving manyJujutsu Kaisenfans awe-struck. After years of anticipation, Sukuna’s reign of terror has come to an end. Though its final arc wasn’t deemed perfect, the shonen manga still managed to end on a largely high note.

Nevertheless, the much-awaited finale of theJujutsu Kaisenmanga series created raging debates among its fans as it could not reach their sky-high expectations. With Sukuna’s defeat and the Jujutsu world starting anew, it’s up to the new generation of sorcerers to set things right.

However, the epilogue didn’t shield Gege Akutami from criticism, as fans accused the final saga of being rushed and highlighted several flaws in the story. While many fans appreciated Akutami’s six years of dedication, they also openly acknowledged the manga’s flaws, which, if handled better, could have elevatedJJKto legendary status.

How Gege Akutami let downJujutsu Kaisenfans with a disappointing epilogue

Jujutsu Kaisenhas dominated both anime and manga for the past six years, cementing its status as an icon of modern anime culture. Not to forget, Gojo VS Sukuna was arguably the most anticipated fight of the entire series, leaving manyGojo fans traumatized.

From thrilling action scenes to compelling characters,Gege Akutamiintroduced every key element to leave a long-lasting impression on the audience; however, the mangaka’s rushed narrative for the final chapters ultimately diminished its impact.

Gojo death in upcoming chapter

By falling short of fans’ immense expectations,Jujutsu Kaisenfaced a wave of criticism and angry comments online. ThoughJJKhas been one of the mostpopular new-gen shonen manga, it decidedly went downhill toward the end of the Shinjuku Showdown Arc.

The epilogue only added more doubt and confusion, resulting in an ending that left many frustrated. While fans celebrated the return of every character, Gojo fans criticized Akutami for neglecting his character after death, to the point of not even giving him a proper farewell.

Throughout the final chapter, none of the characters receive closure, causing fans to slam theJujutsu Kaisenending as unsatisfactory and anti-climactic. They’re also criticizing the creator for leaving many storylines unresolved.

Since its debut,Jujutsu Kaisenwas seen as a revolutionary shōnen manga, but it never lived up to the hype, with flaws becoming clear in the finale.

I think I’m the only Jujutsu Kaisen fan in the world who actually liked the music playing here 💀I think it fit so well! It’s so cruel to Yuji playing that song especially with those lyrics at this moment, it’s like Sukuna is mocking him.I know I’m alone with this takepic.twitter.com/71RG7CcrPH

The majority of Chapter 271 follows the first-year trio on their new mission, and the latter part of the chapter shows Sukuna’s interaction with Mahito in a void.

It’s clear that Gege Akutami favored Sukuna and Yuta over the other characters throughout the series; however, if there were any doubts, they were erased in the final chapter.

Sukuna and Yuta received the best endings, while Yuji and Megumi, as the main leads, didn’t get a satisfying conclusion. Despite introducing intriguing plot points, Akutami never fully explored or resolved them, like how Kenjaku took over Yuji Itadori’s mother’s body or the future of the new jujutsu world.

This made the story feel disjointed and took away their impact on the plot. While the villains’ conversation offers anintriguing glimpse into Sukuna’scharacter, it raises more unanswered questions.

The finale concludes with a panel showing Sukuna’s last finger sealed in a wooden booth. Aside from failing to honor Gojo Satoru, Akutami also neglected to shed light on other characters like Hakari, Inumaki, Shoko, and even Todo.

GivenJujutsu Kaisen‘s success, fans had high hopes for the ending. However, now that their expectations weren’t met, they’re openly criticizing the creator and the finale.

Is aJujutsu Kaisensequel on the horizon?

Kenjaku is regarded as a genius and a master manipulator, as evidenced by his role during the Culling Games Arc. For over 1000 years, Kenjaku has been plotting to evolve the human species through a massive surge of cursed energy.

To kick off his 1000-year long-awaited plan, Kenjaku sealed Gojo Satoru to start the Culling Games. He revealed that he intends to give birth to a new kind of Cursed Energy and has been living in shadows for1000 years to see his plan come to fruition.

Unfortunately, Kenjaku’s master plan was never fully executed, though it had the potential to surpass the fan-favorite Shibuya Arc.

However, it’s important to highlight that Akutami hasn’t shared any insight about the Tengen’s barriers or the end of Culling Games, leaving many fans optimistic about the mangaka’s plan for another sequel.
