Matarazzo continued,“So everything just fell into place to be a full-blown dream project that was basically a fan film.”With the 22-year-old being given a chance to work on something he loved, it comes as no surprise that he wound up jumping at the opportunity. In fact, it even opened the door to him teaming up with the iconic Mark Hamill to give the fans what they wanted.

However, Matarazzo revealed that he did not know of Hamill’s involvement in the show until way later.

During the same interview with THR, he opened up about how his dreams became a reality.
I remember reading scenes with Luke in the booth, and I was like, ‘Is there a world where we get Mark for this?’ I meant it more as a bit, but they were like, ‘We’re talking with him now.’ And I was like, ‘No way. You’re f*cking me.’ And then, two days later, they were like, ‘Dude, we got him.’

Matarazzo explained,“I actually didn’t know Mark was going to be on board when they sent the project over, but it was still a no-brainer, initially.”Although it might have been a risky career move, it seems to have worked out for theStranger Thingsstar.
