Fortnite Update 3.99 Patch Notes For Chapter 4 Season 4 Today (August 25)
Today’s Fortnite update marks the beginning of a new season, known as ‘Last Resort’
Chapter 4 Season 4 sees the inclusion of a wide range of Mythic weapons from past seasons, along with a few carry-over Exotic weapons and items. From theMythic Midas' Drum Gunto theHeisted Run N Gun SMG, there is a wide variety of items for you to get your hands on. Here is how to get every Mythic and Exotic item for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4.

Boss Mythics
There are three new main POIs this season, each of which contains a boss. These bosses each hold a unique Mythic weapon for you to obtain once they have been eliminated. Here’s where you may find each one.
Thorne’s Scoped Burst SMG (Mythic)
Thorne’s Scoped Burst SMGis a Mythic variant of the regular Scoped Burst SMG. This nifty SMG variant is a scoped weapon that fires in three-round bursts, and has an increased damage output and fire rate. This weapon isdropped by Thorne once he is eliminated- along with the Estate Vault Keycard. Thorne himself can be found within thebasement level of the Eclipsed Estate.
Thorne’s Scoped Burst SMG has currently been replaced with Thorne’s Vampiric Bladeuntil the end of Fornitemares (November 3rd, 2023).
Diamond’s Thermal DMR (Mythic)
Diamond’s Thermal DMRis a Mythic variant of the regular Thermal DMR - which arrived last season - and isdropped by the Diamond NPC Boss- along with the Suites Vault Keycard. Diamond herself can be found over at thebasement level of Sanguine Suites.
Heart’s Havoc Suppressed Rifle (Mythic)
Heart’s Havoc Suppressed Rifleis a Mythic version of the regular Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle, boasting an increased damage and fire rate. This mythic item isdropped by the Heart NPC Boss- along with the Retreat Vault Keycard - who can befound at the basement level of the Relentless Retreat.
Vault Mythics
Vaults have returned for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, and though they function exactly the same as they have done in previous seasons, only three can be found on the map. These Vaults can befound within Eclipsed Estate, Sanguine Suites, and Relentless Retreat. Each Vault can beunlocked via a keycard which is dropped by the bossin the area.
Each Vault also contains a series of random Mythic items. However,you may only grab one of these Mythicsout of each Vault - because the area will go into lockdown once one is stolen. Here are all the possible Vault Mythics you can find.
TheVault over at Eclipsed Estate is open for Fortnitemaresand currently housesno Mythic items, other than those dropped by Thorne himself. The Eclipsed Estate Vault will remain open for the entirety of this season.
Midas' Drum Gun (Mythic)
Midas' Drum Gunis the first returning Mythic this season. This Drum Gun boasts a fast fire rate and high-damage output to match, but it is best used when you are in close proximity to other players.
TNTina’s Ka-Boom Bow (Mythic)
TNTina’s Ka-Boom Bowalso returns alongside Midas' Drum Gun, as each saw their first appearance in Chapter 2 Season 2. This Mythic Boom Bow variant fires explosive bolts that deal immense splash damage to its target. The bow can be charged to provide better accuracy and velocity across range, or fired immediately at targets up close.
Kit’s Charge Shotgun (Mythic)
Kit’s Charge Shotgunhas been brought back into Fortnite, seeing its very first debut in Chapter 2 Season 3. This Shotgun can be charged up to increase its damage output and is best used in close-quarters combat.
Kit’s Shockwave Launcher (Mythic)
Kit’s Shockwave Launcherhas also arrived at the Fortnite island. This Mythic launcher fires Shockwave Grenades which can be used to launch either yourself or unsuspecting players across a considerable distance - if you have stocked up on enough rockets that is.
Zyg And Choppy’s Ray Gun (Mythic)
Zyg And Choppy’s Ray Gunsaw its first appearance in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7, and is a Mythic variant of the Kymera Ray Gun. This weapon fires a steady beam of plasma but will overheat if fired for too long.
The Foundation’s MK-Seven Assault Rifle (Mythic)
The Foundation’s MK-Seven Assault Rifleis a more recent blast from the past but is still worth grabbing nonetheless. This gun is a Mythic variant of the MK-Seven Assault Rifle, boasting an increased rate of fire and damage per shot.
Gunnar’s Stinger SMG (Mythic)
Gunnar’s Stinger SMGreturns alongside The Foundation’s MK-Seven Assault Rifle, both of which first appeared in Chapter 3 Season 1. This SMG boasts a high fire rate and damage output at the cost of a significant amount of weapon kick.
Ocean’s Bottomless Chug Jug (Mythic)
Ocean’s Bottomless Chug Jugis currently the only Mythic consumable item to return for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4. This item functions just like the standard Chug Jug from previous seasons and will bring players to full health and shield when consumed. However, unlike standard healing items, this item never depletes - but goes on a one-minute cooldown after each use.
Other Mythics
Enhanced Infiltrator Pump Shotgun (Mythic)
TheEnhanced Infiltrator Pump Shotgunis the Mythic version of the regular Infiltrator Pump Shotgun, which saw its first-ever debut this season. Just like the regular Infiltrator Pump Shotgun, the Enhanced version holds 6 shells in total, but has a headshot multiplier of 1.75x and increased base damage which is capped at 140. You canobtain the Enhanced Infiltrator Pump Shotgun by capturing the Loot Islandthat spawns during the duration of a match.
Deku’s Smash (Mythic)
Deku’s Smashis a returning Mythic item in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, and has arrived for the second Fortnite X My Hero Academia collaboration. This item has an ammo count of 3 and allows players to use a devastating ranged attack that can obliterate opponents and structures in its wake. Deku’s Smash can only beobtained through opening All Might Supply Drops.
Deku’s Smash (Mythic)has beenVaulted for the V26.20 update. However, Todoroki’s Ice Wall (Mythic) will be available for the entire season.
Todoroki’s Ice Wall (Mythic)
Todoroki’s Ice Wallis a brand-new Mythic item arriving in Fortnite for the second My Hero Academia collaboration. When used, players can create a huge ice wall structure that can be used to shield themselves from incoming attacks, or knock back opponents and give them ice feet. Todoroki’s Ice Wall has unlimited uses but will go on a 10-second cool down once it has been deployed. Todorki’s Ice Wall is aguaranteed item within All Might Supply Drops, but can also befound as ground loot and in Chests.
Jedi Training Lightsaber (Mythic)
TheJedi Training Lightsaberis a Mythic weapon included with the V26.20 update. To acquire this Lightsaber, you will need tovisit Ahsoka(who can be tracked on the map).Speak with Ahsokaand accept her offer to learn her Force Push and Force Jump abilities whilst using a Lightsaber. Upon doing so, your character will enter a rift, and return with the Jedi Training Lightsaber in hand. While wielding the Lightsaber, you can perform a Force Jump for added mobility, and the Force Push to knock back enemy players.
TheJedi Training Lightsaber has been Vaultedfor the V26.30 update.
Thorne’s Vampiric Blade (Mythic)
Thorne’s Vampiric Bladeis one of the two Mythics introduced for the Fortnitemares update. This Mythic item is eerily similar to the Kinetic Blade introduced for Chapter 4 Season 3, and functions relatively the same. However, this Mythic version allows you to siphon enemy health to its wielder with every attack. You can get Thorne’s Vampiric Blade byeliminating Revenant Kado Thorne over at the Eclipsed Estate Vault.
Witch Broom (Mythic)
TheWitch Broomhas been unvaulted for the Fortnitemares event once again. This nifty Mythic functions as a traversal item. When used, players will take to the sky on the Witch Broom and begin to glide. The Witch Broom is fairly is to obtain, as it can befound as ground loot and within chests.
Thorne’s Vampiric Bladeand theWitch Broomwill beavailable until Fortnitemares concludes on November 3rd, 2023.

Exotic Items & Weapons
Heisted Breacher Shotgun (Exotic)
The Heisted Breacher Shotgunis the first Heisted weapon to carry over from last season to this one. This Exotic Heavy Shotgun variant is capable of dealing mass damage to players and structures, making it great for infiltrating enemy builds. The Heisted Breacher Shotgun does not spawn in a designated location and can beacquired from Holo Chests.
Heisted Accelerant Shotgun (Exotic)
The Heisted Accelerant Shotgunis an Exotic variant of the Maven Auto Shotgun, and grants players the Spicy Pepper effect after damaging opponents - providing an added boost in movement speed. You canfind the Heisted Accelerant Shotgun in Holo Chests. you’re able to alsopurchase it from Love Ranger, who can be found towards the east side of Rumble Ruins.
Heisted Run N Gun SMG (Exotic)
The Heisted Run N Gun SMGis the final Heisted Exotic to return for Chapter 4 Season 4. Just like before, the Combat SMG Variant grants players with the Splash Effect - providing infinite stamina whilst the weapon is equipped. You canacquire the Heisted Run N Gun SMG from Holo Chests.
Shadow Tracker (Exotic)
TheShadow Trackeris an Exotic item that has been featured many times in Fortnite’s history, yet again making its return for Chapter 4 Season 4. This Suppressed Pistol will live-ping any enemy it hits, making it a great weapon for tracking down enemy players. You canacquire the Shadow Tracker from Holo Chests,or bypurchasing it from Agent Peely over at Steamy Springs for 400 Gold.
Slap Splashes (Exotic)
Slap Splashesare the final Exotic items to carry over from last season to this one, and are currently the only consumable item of Exotic rarity. Just like last Chapter 4 Season 3, Exotic Slap Splashes can bedropped by destroyed Loot Llamas, but they can also befound within Holo Chests.
