FortniteChapter 3 is the shortest chapter Fortnite has had thus far. It contained only four seasons; Flipped, Resistance, Vibin, and Paradise. All four together ran for a full year.

Despite its length, Chapter 3 managed to bring a lot of new mechanics, modes, weapons, skins, and more to the game. This list will cover the best things Chapter 3 did to improve Fortnite in the order they occurred.
10The End … Or Rather The Beginning
The transitioning event between Chapter 2 and 3 was called The End. Players would face off against a massive army together, with the end result being Chapter 2’s island flipping over.
Chapter 3’s map was a fresh start that showed up on the underside of the island. The very first season had a great Battle Pass, which included Spiderman and The Foundation. Chapter 3 would continue to add multiple other Marvel characters, but not as many as the previous chapter did.

9Movement Options
Being able to run and climb up small walls were simple inclusions, but they drastically improved player movement capabilities. Wolves and boars becoming ridable made them much more valuable assets of the game and added yet another way for players to get around the map faster.
Another creature that helped with movement was the new monster Klombo. It quickly became a fan-favorite creature, although it was only available for a brief time. Ziplines, geysers, launch pads, cannons, and vehicles made Chapter 3’s island the easiest to travel across. The Chrome added in Season 4 allows increased movement speed and movement through walls.

8The Imaginary Order’s Presence
The war against the Imaginary Order felt the most intense in Chapter 3 Season 2. The island became a battleground after their troops took over a majority of locations. Despite Season 2 only slightly changing the map, this story approach made it very memorable.
Over the course of the season, players could aid NPCs in defeating the Imaginary Order in each major location they controlled. Slowly, the island was reclaimed, but not before an epic final battle.

7The Collision Event
The grand finale against the Imaginary Order’s island takeover was seen in Season 2’s Collision event. The event started on a space station where four players could shoot asteroids while waiting for the real battle to begin. All four would then enter a massive mecha bear before flying down towards Earth.
Destroying meteors, tanks, and large hordes of enemies in this event made it one of the most action-packed events Fortnite has held. Before seeing the end of Doctor Slone, many hints at what the next season would include were dropped.

6More Star Wars Crossovers
Darth Vader’s reveal near the end of Collision was excellently executed. He was an incredible addition to Season 3’s Battle Pass. Darth Vader would also land his ship at a select few locations around the island in each match.

Doing so allowed players to fight him, as well as many Stormtroopers. Light Sabers and Blasters made a return alongside them. Fortnite also added a few otherStar Warsskins to the shop in Chapter 3, including Obi-Wan Kenobi.
5Zero Build Mode
Fortnite has become one of the most popular free-to-play games, so any inclusion that makes the game more accessible is a good change. Zero Build offers the same experience as the main mode but without needing to learn the Build mechanic.
The best part of its inclusion is that it’s an optional mode. Players who love Building still have access to the standard mode. This lets millions of players choose whichever play style they prefer.

4Many Diverse Biomes
Chapter 3 started with an extremely large snow region that covered nearly half the island. It eventually regressed to a more standard size that wasn’t overwhelming. A desert was also available from the start. These both helped make the new island stand out compared to the plain gassy fields some older Fortnite seasons had.
Chapter 3 Season 3 created a brand-new purple forest biome, with the very obvious Reality Tree at its center. This made the map much more colorful and provided a landmark that brought beauty to the island.
3Reality Saplings
Along with the Reality Tree came its saplings. Reality Seeds can be planted at most locations around the map, and each player can have one Reality Sapling at a time.
These offer access to top-quality loot, and Shield Mushrooms will grow around them. There’s some strategy behind Reality Seeds since they only bloom once a day. Players who aren’t careful may get their loot stolen by others, but finding a different Reality Seed to plant isn’t too hard.
2Naruto Crossover
The firstNarutocrossover at the end of the previous chapter only included members of Team 7 skins. The second crossover introduced some fan-favorite characters; Hinata, Orochimaru, Gaara, and Itachi.

The many newly added cosmetics greatly helped the representation Naruto had in Fortnite. The limited-time Nindo challenge offered players a chance to unlock the Manda glider for free.
1Dragon Ball Crossover
Dragon Ballis one of the longest-running and most popular anime series to ever exist. Fortnite made sure to capture its significance well with four skins; Goku, Bulma, Vegeta, and Beerus. Goku got Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Blue, and Ultra Instinct as alternate costumes. He can even cycle through forms using a unique charge-up emote. Vegeta got a similar treatment, except he had the Super Saiyan Blue Evolution form instead of Ultra Instinct.
For a brief time, Capsule Corp capsules would fall from the sky. Players who found them could obtain the Flying Nimbus and Kamehameha loot. Flying Nimbus was a wonderful movement option, and Kamehameha had a super destructive power. These items could also be bought at Kami House, which was now on the island. Additionally, a few Dragon Ball Super episodes were viewable in-game for a few days.
