The First Descendant Seems to Be Struggling With Its Popularity

At the time of writing, we do not know why the servers have crashed forThe First Descendants. Unfortunately, no matter the reason, it doesn’t seem to look good for the new free-to-play game.

Since its release yesterday, players have been clambering to try and accessThe First Descendantand try out this new free-to-play game from Nexon, but so far the response from the gaming community hasn’t been overall positive.

However, this may not be the fault of Nexon, as the popularity of the game may actually be the cause for the servers to have crashed. Too many people may have been attempting to access the game at one time, leading to the servers potentially overloading, but until a statement is made, we cannot confirm or deny this.

If this is true, it could be a good sign for the future of the game as it would already have a large player base that enjoys the game, but if this isn’t the case, there could be more issues down the line for Nexon if it can’t get this situation in order.

This Issue Seems to Be Affecting Players From All Platforms

After the recent Xbox Live issues that plagued Microsoft’s consoles yesterday, it would make sense that players would be worried that the same issue could be taking place again.

Luckily, this doesn’t seem to be the case, as reports are coming in from all platforms that have access toThe First Descendantthat they are unable to access the game.

Whether you are on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox, you will likely see some server issues over the next day or two as the developers attempt to refine the game to be able to run at a high standard while also maintaining the player-count that it is likely drawing in.

This wouldn’t be the first time that a brand-new game on its first day would have server issues, and it won’t be the last, especially for a free-to-play game, as those tend to draw in even more players upon release.

What do you think aboutThe First Descendant’sserver crashes? Do you think it has crashed due to player count, or do you think it has crashed due to poor servers on Nexon’s end? Let us know in the comments what you think!
