Fitting each character to their chosen class or a separate one from their own can be a challenge with the different intricacies relating to each class, weapon, and character.

Who Is Mauvier?

Mauvier is one of the Four Hounds. He is also Veyle’s knight, which he landed in his role due to his mother’s move to Elusia. Beforehand, he lived in Firene until his father died of an illness. His mother took this as a sign that the Divine Dragon had ignored her prayers, moving to Elusia and believing in the Fell Dragon instead. Mauvier is honest and kind, fighting for what is fair. A quiet type, he takes things very seriously. He doesn’t believe in the Fell Dragon like his mother, as he always believed in the Divine Dragon even after his father’s death.

Base Build & Stat Growth

Mauvier has excellentDefense,Resistance, andHealth. With this, his lower stats aren’t on the terrible side either. He’s very good to have on the team, especially if the team needs someone who can tank hits and have high magic. He’s a Calvary, starting out as a Royal Knight. He’s best used on the side with others. Mauvier can handle fights on his own along with being in the front, he just doesn’t have his specialty fighting alone or in the front. Pairing him up with physical fighters is the best idea, as Mauvier has higher magic than he does strength.

Along with this, he is someone who doesn’t have as high of a defense but benefits from their offense. Mauvier can come in to tank hits for them to help out in battle. His personal skill isContemplative, which has to do with usingWait. If Mauvier uses Waitwithout attacking or using any items, he is given anextra two defense pointseach turn. He also has Reforge, a skill that Royal Knights can learn at level 5. This makes it so if Mauvier’s health is over 10, 11, or higher, and a teammate is broken, he will sacrifice 10 HP and in turn, fix their status effect.

Mauvier Speaking to Amber in Fire Emblem Engage

Mauvier has amazing health, allowing him to be a tank on the battlefield. Along with this, both his Defense and Resistance are good. This will protect him from both magic and physical attacks. Mauvier will be holding magical weapons the best out of all other weaponry. While he had the justified build and strength to wield non-magic weaponry, he is one of the best to wield heavier magic weapons.

Good Classes For Mauvier

Mauvier does the best in his starting class. Not only is he riding a horse, but he also has the perfect stats to be fast and strong while riding atop this steed. While in the Royal Knight class, Mauvier will benefit from his speed, attack, and high dentiefense and health. Mauvier is an amazing Royal Knight and a team member that could last for the entire battle and be a strong fighter against people in the way. Teaming characters with Mauvier is quite easy due to his good stats. Most characters can fight alongside him, but getting a Wyvern Knight or other flying unit that can cover the air while Mauvier is on land in his Royal Knight Class is the way to go. Along with this, aim it towards what Mauvier will have equipped. For magic weaponry, pair him up with a physical fighter, and the opposite if he has a physical weapon.

TheSilver Lanceis a good base decision for Mauvier. If you don’t want to risk using scarier weaponry, the Silver Lance will not do much wrong. TheBrave Lancecan give multiple hits, which is a powerful tool with Mauvier’s high attack stat. The Flame Lance is a good magic weapon, giving him that magic weapon he’s so useful to have. Heal can be used by Mauvier to patch up his team. This is a good pick for Mauvier, as he has high health, defense, and resistance to live from powerful hits and fix up his team.

Gifting Mauvier

Whether you’re seeking alternative gameplay routes, raising Mauvier’s motivation, or wishing to find all the dialogue possible for the character, gifting helps with this. Each character has their own likes and dislikes depending on their personality. Characters also have their own dislikes. When finding items, try not to give characters items they’ll dislike. This does not boost any stats or unlock anything. After gifting a character an unsatisfactory item, the item will be discarded from your inventory. Characters can be gifted between main story segments, raising the bond between the protagonist and the character chosen.
