Square Enix is holding a special stream to celebrate the 25th anniversary ofFinal Fantasy VII, first released on June 17, 2025, on PlayStation 1, and many fans believe we’ll get news on theRemake’s sequel(s).

Square Enix already confirmed the showcase will run for around 10 minutes, but the contents were not detailed beforehand besides that there will beFF7 The First Soldiernews.

With that said, it’s all but officially confirmed we’ll get news on theRemakeproject. Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase mentioned a few months ago, during aThe First Soldierstream, that the sequel toFinal Fantasy VII Remakewill be revealed in 2022. If the game is not revealed today, there will definitely be at least the announcement of an announcement for a future reveal, probably in late September at Tokyo Game Show 2022.

It’s also likely we will hear aboutFinal Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, the mobile gacha game that aims to retrace all of the plotlines fromFinal Fantasy VIIand its spinoffs.
