15 Best Square Enix Games, Ranked
Square Enix has a storied history of many great gaming franchises, but which games are the best of the best?
Red XIII is arguably one of the strongest characters in the party, dealing huge amounts of Stagger and damage to enemies. Here is every weapon players can get for Red XIII, ranked. For the sake of this list, the weapons and their unique abilities will be judged together.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
8Brisingamen
High Risk, High Reward
The Brisingamen is a magic-focused collar with a decent Attack stat. While Red XIII can excel in Magic use, he is at his best when focusing purely on Attack attacks, and this Collar does the opposite.
This weapon’s ability is Reaper Touch, which can deal incredible amounts of damage when used in the right situation, The only downside is that this ability does more damage the lower Red’s health is, making it a very risky ability to use effectively.

7Mystic Collar
Charge The ATB Of Other Party Members
The Mystic Collar is more of a step in the right direction compared to the Brisingamen in that it deals more Attack damage than Magic. This Collar does offer two connected Materia slots with a total of six slots.
This Collar’s ability is Watcher’s Spirit, which can use Red XIII’s Vengeance Gauge to give allies ATB energy. This can be very useful in the right party to prioritize more abilities from other party members and can also be helpful to utilize more healing spells or items when in a bind.

6Silver Collar
Adds Some Defence To An Aggressive Playstyle
The Silver Collar has a bit less Attack than the Mystic Collar, but the bump in Magic Attack makes it worthwhile. This Collar also offers two linkedMateriaslots, perfect for taking advantage of the higher Magic Attack.
This weapon’s ability is Chilling Roar, which helps protect Red and deal counterattack damage when in close with enemies. While this ability is good for Red XIII’s playstyle, it only falls behind as not delivering as much damage as quickly as other abilities in later collars.

5Renegade’s Collar
Get In Close To Far Away Enemies
The Renegade’s Collar has a higher focus on Attack than Magic Attack. Despite this focus, it offers an overall lower stat bonus than other collars, but the two linked Materia slots make up for it.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Is Giving Zack More Love, Which Is Great
Zack “the puppy” could finally getting the recognition he deserves in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
This weapon’s shining point is its unique ability, Crescent Claw, which usually does a lot of damage while not in Vengeance Mode. If this ability is used in Vengeance Mode, it will deal a lot more damage and can be triggered from far away, perfect for quickly closing the gap of a far-off enemy.

3Amethyst Collar
A Party-Wide Haste
The Amethyst Collar is a Magic-focused collar with a much lower focus on Attack than any other on this list. Despite this, the higher focus on Magic Attack can make Red XIII’s higher-level Materia deal incredible amounts of damage when hitting a weakness.
The real selling point for this Collar is its unique ability, Supernal Fervor. While it can only be used in Vengeance Mode, this ability gives the entire party Haste for 2 ATB. While it may take a bit to get this ability off, it is well worth the effort and even worth the lower damage compared to other collars.
2Golden Collar
The Highest Attack Collar
The Golden Collar has the highest base Attack of any collar Red XIII can use and will deal incredible amounts of damage as Red focuses on Pressuring and Staggering enemies in combat. Even with the high Attack, this Collar also has a decent Magic Attack.
The only reason this Collar isn’t the top spot on the list is its ability Watcher’s Respite. By using Red’s Vengeance Gauge, he can heal all party members. While this has its uses, it goes against Red’s focus on dealing damage and using his Vengeance Gauge for support rather than full offense.
1Mythril Collar
The Best Ability In The Game
Yes, Red XIII’s starting Collar is the best one he gets in the game. This Collar has a decent focus on Attack, and its Magic Attack isn’t too far behind it. It offers two connected Materia slots along with one extra one.
The selling point of this Collar is its unique ability, Stardust Ray, which may be the single best ability in the game. Its area-of-effect, damage and Stagger is beyond powerful and will often finish off open-world encounters with only a single use. This ability is Red’s best, with it even outclassing someSynergy Attacks.
