The canvas bags that were originally meant to be included in theFallout 76Power Armor Edition have finally been delivered to fans after several months of waiting. Bethesdapromised to replacethe cheap nylon bags purchasers of the limited edition were given instead:
Despite being a bit wrinkled, they actually look pretty good. For reference, this is what the hideous nylon bag originally included in the $200 Power Armor Edition looked like:
Last year fanstook to the internetafter they received said bags, instead of what was initially promised.Bethesda respondedin many ways – either through official email correspondence, a Twitter statement, statements on message boards – and even tried to compensate fans with a 500 Atoms credit. Atoms are the in-game currency ofFallout 76.
None of these responses, nor the compensation, were satisfactory enough for fans, and let the company know in a subsequent and massive internet fallout (pun intended). This resulted in Bethesda’s policy reversal which resulted buyers of the collector’s edition getting the merchandise they were initially promised.
In more recent and E3 related news, there’s still anongoing free trialofFallout 76(until the 17th) if you want to testrun the game before sinking in the dough for it. And during their E3 conference, Bethesda unveiled a new trailer and discussed some details for the upcoming update, titledWastelanders, which is coming this fall. It will include dialogue options, a brand new storyline, and human NPCs.
Finally they revealed a new battle royal mode calledFallout 76 Nuclear Winter. This BR mode will include 52 players and will be completely free for all owners ofFallout 76. It’s good to see the company still support their game, even after the rocky start. Hopefully it becomes a more positive experience for players in the future.
