In total there areeight hidden perksin crates spread throughout the levels, each containing fun and powerful perks to spice up gameplay and add someinteresting elementslike exploding Health and Energy drops, more aerial combo damage, and regenerating health – just to name a few. This guide will go over the location of each and how to find them.
Booming Business (Devil’s Pass)
Duringmission 5after the firstNagalencounter, there is a drop-down next to a house in ruin near the cliff edge on the left. After dropping and heading to the left, you’ll find a crate with the perk inside:
This perk can makeTNT boxesin combat more deadly and gives themgreater AOEwhen you Hero Punch enemies into them or shoot them. If you like using them, this will make them pack a bigger punch. Otherwise, this perk is safe to pass up on using.

Lethal Heights (RI Outpost)
You’ll find Lethal Heights duringmission 6in the mine after theLeecherencounter and just moments after finding theBlasterupgrade for the Revolver. In the mine – in the room you get ambushed by some enemies on the left side – there will be a place toduck under the wall. There is an encounter to fight through, but after, you can mantle over and get to the crate. Inside will be your sweet reward in the form of a new perk.
A great perk forjugglingandfinishing off targets who are airborneto get more Energy Pickups with perks likeIcarus. If you enjoy air juggling, this perk is a no-brainer. 25% increased damage is no joke and can help you deal with enemies who can be tricky to deal with that you want to burst down faster. Keep in mindnot every enemy can be juggledin the air, so it will only help against certain foes.

Boom Balls (Smoke And Mirrors)
This perk can be found towards the end ofmission 7next to a cliff in the larger maze-like area with scattered grunts and exploder enemies. There will be somebramble you’re able to burnthat will grant you access to a small alcove with the crate containing the perk.
Paired with Booming Businessto give your explosions some range, this perk could add some mayhem to encounter when combined with perks likeIcarusor anything that increases Pickup generation during combat to give you plenty of explosions to trigger.

Adrenaline Junkie (Pharmakon)
This perk is found inmission 8in theunderground templebelow the church you’ll have to move some blocks to get across the gap to the temple that Edgar is locked inside. On the left side, there is a crate containing the Adrenaline Junkie perk. There is a specific way the pillars need to be aligned to be able to get to it since invisible walls will prevent you from crossing – even if it looks like you should be able to. Thethree blocksare athin lineone, athree-sided T-shapedone, and anL-shapedone. To both get across and get the crate, the line and the T-block need to be aligned with the L block on the left of the T-block.
It’s helpful to first get the smaller crates on the right side out of the way before starting.

This perk is good if you are skilled enough to not need Health Pickups and instead want to opt for Energy Pickups to deal more devastating combos withQuake Punch,Touchdown, orSupercharged Mode. There is a perk to use Energy to heal, but without that your access to Health is much lower, so use it at your own risk.
Healthy Lifestyle (Bats In The Belfry)
Inmission 10after the church encounter with three Leechers, you will slip through a crack and do a fairlychallenging fight with The Gaster and Zealotswith some fodder mixed in. After that fight, there will be achain you can shoot downon one of the buildings. Shoot it down and climb up it to get the perk:
The opposite of Adrenaline Junkie; this perk is useful if you prefer Health to Energy. If you want more healing and aren’t concerned with using the moves that require Energy, this perk will be very valuable andadd lots more Health Pickupsto each encounter, giving you a little more room to make mistakes.

Work-Life Balance (A Man Of The People)
Inmission eleven, there is a hidden perk that is pretty strong. From the mission’s starting point, head down the road on the right anddown the alleywayon the left to get to this house. Once inside, go to the left andup the ladder. The crate containing the perk will be up there as well as azip line pointto go to once you find a rope.
A great perk overall that makes every resource work overtime as you generate a bit of each any time you get one. A great perk for staying healthy while also having the resources to deal a lot of damage.
Life Support (Old Friends)
Inmission 13, you may find a hidden perk calledLife Support. After blowing away some debris with explosives, there is asinking platform puzzle. To find the hidden perk, first go across the platform bridge immediately in front of you and look to theleft ceiling. You should see a plank you can shoot down. Shoot that and head back and to the right topunch through some debris. After doing that, look up to sopt the second shootable plank. Go to the left, and the bridge you made will take you to the crate with the perk.
Regenerationis nothing to scoff at as some encounters can require slow play to stay alive. Life Support can keep you topped off without having to use the Gauntlet to heal when you don’t need a full heal – or when it is on cooldown.
Tooldown (A Son’s Duty)
The last hidden perk is inmission 14and is found after exiting thespider-infested train yard. Upon exiting, you will see a water tower immediately in front of you, and upon closer inspection, the final crate can be seen on top of the water tower.Go to the leftand eventually around the train to see the shootable spot to drop the chain behind the water tower. Go around and climb the chain for your reward.
TheCrippling Rodcan be a game changer in chaotic encounters – or just for creating longer windows to deal damage against bosses. Either way, the more you’re able to use it the better, and since Pickups are already being picked up, getting some time shaved off the Crippling Rod can be powerful at creating more openings for aggression.
