Elden Ringplayers can be… creative. We’ve seen the strongest bosses felled by all manners of tools - dance pads, acoustic guitars, pianos and so on. So, in a way, I was both surprised and not at all surprised to see that the next weapon of choice for an aspiring Tarnished is a Bop-It.
For those unfamiliar, a Bop-It is a reaction-based children’s toy. The device blurts out a series of commands and the wielder has a limited amount of time to choose the correct action on the Bop-It. For example, the Bop-It may shout “Pull It,” prompting you to pull on a blue part of the device. As you continue to do actions correctly, the Bop-It’s commands get faster, giving you less time to react.
Moustachio-d Twitch streamerSwoop Douglashas repurposed the toy to play Elden Ring (spotted byPC Gamer), for whatever reason. “I have taken it apart and pieced it back together to convert it into a video game controller to play Elden Ring with. I have the code for it, I wrote software, it works for Elden Ring… and it sucks. This is definitely the worst thing I’ve ever come up with,” he joked.

Inhis video, Douglas manages to take down the Soldier of Godrick, not without some struggle. He then defeats the Erdtree Burial Watchdog and the Grave Warden Duelist in quick succession. Rather impressively, he then defeats the high-speed Tree Sentinel (who I’ve had my own run-ins with) before the main event, Margit The Fell Omen.
Well, Swoop Douglas twisted, flicked and bopped like the best of ‘em and after an extended battle with Margit, he arose, bloodied but victorious. “Dude, let’s fcking go, let’s goooo! I can’t believe I just beat fcking Margit with a Bop-It. No way, that’s so insane,” he exclaimed.
Fast-forward a couple of weeks and Douglas, now master of the Bop-It, has defeated every single boss in Elden Ring. Yes, Malenia fell victim to a children’s toy. You can watch Douglas' famous victory over the Blade of Miquella below.
