When To Use The Flame Of The Redmanes
When it comes to using this Ash of War in combat, the strategy is pretty straightforward. You will want to position yourself ahead of your target and then use the Flame of the Redmanes. The Flame of the Redmanes has a decent range and covers a significant area, eliminating the need to be precise and close to hostile enemies. This is especially true when facing a large boss.

However, if you are facing off against bosses, land as many blows as possible, finishing off with a critical strike if possible. Countering Your Weaknesses
The two biggest weaknesses of the Flame of the Redmanes are its dependence on fire damage and FP. While fire damage is often effective, there are plenty ofenemies with fire resistancein Elden Ring. For these particular enemy types, it’s important to carry a secondary weapon, preferably one that also scales off of strength. As for the FP cost, theAssassin’s Cerulean DaggerTalisman returns 15 FP on every critical strike – making it a great Talisman to use with this build.
