How To Start A Case Of Sculptor’s Block
If you want to start this quest, you will need to walk by Klark’s Estate in the Noble Quarter of Vernworth.Thankfully, Klark’s estate is very close to the Rose Château Borderlie, the brothel thatWilhelminaowns. This means that you will probably walk by his estate a few times during your time in Vernworth. If you stop and speak to Klark, he will tell you that his sculpture from Bakbattahl hasn’t made it yet and he needs you to go find it.

Where To Find The Sculptor
The sculptor can be found in Fulvio’s Workshop in Bakbattahl. If youown a housein the area, you will be able to walk directly across the street from your house to find the workshop. (If you have aPortcrystal, you may want to put one outside your home in Bakbattahl.) If you haven’t been to Bakbattahl yet, you will need to finish the main quest, Feast of Deception. You can then obtain a letter that allows you to pass into Battahl. From there, you will need to make your way to Bakbattahl, which, thankfully, is the major city in the region (like Vernworth in Vermund). After arriving there, you will be able to travel freely from Battahl to Vermund using the Oxcart services.
If you speak to Fulvio, he will tell you that his problem is that he needs to see a griffin in real life if he is to sculpt one for Klark. He will then ask you to fight a griffin for him so that he can see what a battle with one truly looks like. From here, you will have two options:

While you don’tneedMedusa’s head for the quest, it is super helpful to bring it along anyway.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Speak & Understand Elvish
If you want to make it to Sacred Arbor (Home Of The Elves) in DD2, you will need to know Elvish. Here’s how you can make sure you know the language.
How To Sketch The Griffin
Once you have agreed to help Fulvio, you will need to meet him at the griffin’s nest and head up to the top so that you can begin the battle. Remember, you can bring Medusa’s head to make it easier.
Should You Bring Medusa’s Head?
If you want to make Klark happy and obtain all the rewards for the quest, you need to bring Medusa’s head with you.Thankfully, we have an in-depth guide on finding and killing Medusahere. Once you have obtained her head, you will want to head to meet Fulvio.
Medusa’s head will not last long if you use it, so you should save it for this moment.

How To Fight The Griffin
In order to fight the griffin, you will want to attack its head when you can. (Here’s a guide to fighting the griffin in Vermund; while not the same, the fights themselves are similar.)If you have Medusa’s head, you can equip it and pull it out the same way you would your lantern; this will petrify the beast and allow Fulvio to get what he needs. If you don’t have the head, you will just need to keep fighting the griffin until it flies off or dies. Eventually, Fulvio will tell you that he has what he needs and to come visit him in a few days.
How To Finish The Quest
After waiting a few days, you can go visit Fulvio’s Workshop again, where he will say he is taking the statue to Klark and wants you to come along. You can travel back to Vernworth to see the grand unveiling.Depending on whether you used Medusa’s Head or not, the statue may disappoint Klark, meaning you will miss out on some money.
