Dragon’s Dogma 2has been 12 years in the making. Fans of the open-world Fantasy genre are going to be pleasantly surprised by this epic game. We here at DualShockers have been having a blast with it. With10 Vocations to choose from, an open-world to be envied, and more quests than you can shake a stick at, you’re likely to be very busy for a very long time with this game.

Checkpoint Rest Town is full of hard-working folks living fairly simple lives. Well, except for one man. Myrddin owns the largest home in town and is quite particular about who he invites in. If you walk up to his home in your usual adventuring gear, he’ll come outside, make a judgmental remark, and shut the door in your face.

How To Get Into Myrddin’s House
As it turns out, Myrddin wants you to impress him with the way you present yourself.This means donning your fanciest attire and then walking up to his home.If he finds your outfit suitably fancy, he’ll look you up and down, approve of your presence, and invite you into his home.
Unlike nearly every other NPC in the game, Myrddin takes offense to you looting items from his home. So, if you’re planning on taking any of his items, make sure you do so discreetly. If he catches you taking too many things, he will turn hostile toward you.
When preparing to present myself to Myrddin, I wore aCourtly Tunic, Courtly Breeches, and a Ceremonial Cape. These items were enough for Myrddin to deem me worthy of his company. You likely don’t need the cape, but it does add a bit of refinement to the outfit.
The quickest, and likely easiest, way to acquire fancy clothing is to inspect the homes in the Noble Quarter of Vernworth. You should be able to find the courtly clothes you need in order to sufficiently impress Myrddin. Hang on to these clothes, as you’ll also need them for other quests that require you to mingle with nobles.
Once you’ve entered his home, speak to Myrddin again. He will offer to teach you magic if you can sufficiently impress him by gathering tomes.He will give you a quest named The Sorcerer’s Appraisal. The magic Myrddin will teach you is for the Sorcerer Vocation only, as he is a maister for the Sorcerer Vocation.
There is a second Sorcerer Maister named Trysha. She will teach you a different skill, but only if you give her the same five tomes Myrddin is asking for.She gives you a quest called Spellbound. Fortunately, you don’t have to choose. Take the tomes to Checkpoint Rest Town and go to the forger. This vendor can forge the tomes for you at a reasonable cost. Once you have duplicates of the tomes, go ahead and give one set to each maister. This will allow you to learn both abilities, and the maisters will be none the wiser.
