WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the ending of Dragon’s Dogma 2.ADragon’s Dogma 2player has shared a handy little trick to get the “good” ending of the game without having to fight the dragon. For those unaware, Dragon’s Dogma 2 has multiple endings that can be achieved, but only one is the game’s “true” ending.
The first ending is referred to as the “bad” ending, in which you walk away from the dragon instead of fighting it. This results in a very somber coronation ceremony at Vernworth Castle Hall as you are finally crowned as the new Sovran of Vermund. Shortly after, the credits will roll. However, there is also an ending which sees you fight the dragon and receive the “good” ending.

Dragon’s Dogma 2’s Rarest Achievement Is Surprisingly Simple To Obtain
It’s no great feat of heroism.
Instead of walking away from the dragon, you have the option to fight back in an intense final battle. After you defeat the dragon, you will receive the same coronation cutscene, but this time with a much more cheerful audience.
While these are the two most common endings, there is also a third option known as Dragon’s Dogma 2’s “true” ending. Achieving it is a little more complicated, but it will grant you access to new endgame content in the region of the Unmoored World. This endgame region is incredibly brutal, but is a great way to get your hands on some stronger weapons and armor.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Has A Secret Way To Get The Good Ending
But what if you’re not concerned about the true ending and just want the good one? Well, it turns out you can achieve it without even having to fight the dragon.
Over on the Dragon’s Dogma subreddit,Reddit user Appropriate_Bill8244showed off a relatively unknown trick when it comes to the game’s final battle. During the final confrontation with the dragon, the player is given the choice to either stay and fight or walk away. This is a pivotal moment when it comes to determining which ending you’re going to receive.

This player opted to stand and fight, but managed to one-shot the dragon using anUnmaking Arrow, a rare weapon that will kill any being instantly. This arrow is so powerful that the game will even automatically save as you fire it, meaning you have to choose when to use it wisely.
While many players likely assumed that this special arrow wouldn’t work on the final boss, this player decided to give it a try. After shooting the arrow straight into the dragon’s chest, the ending cutscene begins and the Arisen is crowned as the Sovren of Vermund. While this player won’t be getting access to the Unmoored World, they didn’t have to go through the burden of fighting the dragon.
