10Initiate’s Blade

An Okay Start To A New Vocation

The Initiate’s Blade is the Mystic Spearhand Vocation’s starting weapon, making it the easiest to get. As a starting weapon for the Vocation, it offers the lowest stats but showcases the usual build of this Vocation as it has an even split between Physical and Magick damage.

Being a weaker starting weapon, the Initiate’s Spear also comes with an overall low weight, making it great for a lower-level Mystic Spearhand who doesn’t have ahigher carry weightjust yet. This weapon is only okay, and players should be quick to find an upgrade in any region of the game.

9Percipient Blade

A Quick & Easy Upgrade

The Percipient Blade is a complete upgrade from the Initiate’s Blade in every stat, including weight. While it is just a bit heavier, the difference is quite small and can be fixed with only two Golden Trove Beetles if really needed.

This weapon is cheap and can be purchased at either Checkpoint Rest Town or Vernworth, making it easily accessible to any player. Despite the ease of obtaining this weapon, it’s lower on this list as even better weapons are easier to obtain for this Vocation, even in the first region of the game.

8Infernal Edge

The Best Vernumd Duospear

The Infernal Edge is found by completing Tolled To Rest in the Ancient Battleground just north of Checkpoint Rest Town. Because is free and just requires a quick quest, and is a step up from anything purchased in the first region of the game.

This Spear offers higher stats than the first two spears, along with dealing Fire damage. Its overall Knockdown power is high, and any Mystic Spearhand should focus on getting this weapon right after unlocking the Vocation.

7Fools Prize

A Quick & Easy Find In Battahl

Fools Prize is a better option than all duospears in Vermund and is found in the Highland Cavern soon after entering Battahl. This is a difficult dungeon to overcome earlier in the game and may require players to level up a few times or come back later to complete, but it will also offer this Spear to be found instead of bought.

Despite not being as good in stats as the next weapon on this list, it only slightly falls behind in terms of raw stats, and getting it for free can help players save some gold for other gear or weapons for their Pawn.

6Tail Trimmer

High Damage At An Affordable Price

The Tail Trimmer is one of the first weapons players can purchase upon arriving in Bakbattahl and is best due to its affordability. Bakbattahl quickly shows players just how expensive gear will start to be after what was seen in Vermund, but the Tail Trimmer is less shocking.

This weapon is another direct step up in all stats from previous spears, but it does lose the fire damage from the Infernal Edge. While its other stats make up for this loss, this Spear is a good bit heavier than previous options.

5Wings Asunder

A Heavy & Damaging Duospear

There are a few methods of either finding or purchasing Wings Asunder, letting players either get it quickly by buying it or saving money and traversing a dungeon. While this is one of the cooler-looking duo spears, the large blades add to the weapon’s overall weight in a noticeable way compared to previous options.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Get & Use Pawn Badges

Pawn Badges are poorly explained mechanic in DD2. Here’s how they work.

While it does weigh more, this Spear is one of the better options for players to use during their time in Battahl. While not offering a huge jump in Knockdown Power, its Slash and Magick damage offer a decent jump compared to the Tail Trimmer upon reaching Battahl.

4Soul Of Antiquity

An Expensive Yet Powerful Weapon

While the Soul Of Antiquity is the most expensive Duospear in Battahl, it is well worth every Gold spent. This Spear not only offers the highest stats for this region but also is a lighter spear than just about every option on this list.

The jump to this weapon is significant across all stats, including Knockdown Power. While the initial price can be a turn-off for players, Bakbattahl offers many side quests for players to complete to earn Gold to quickly save up for this weapon.

The Best Regular Game Duospear

Dead Ringer is one of the best Duospears players can get in the base game. Players can either purchase it at Volcanic Island Camp or try to get it to drop for a lesser dragon, but the chances of this are low.

It is fairly easy to reach Volcanic Island Camp from Bakbattahl, and any Mystic Spearhand should consider heading straight there to purchase this Spear. While this is one of the heavier options for a Duospear at a little over four pounds, the huge stats and damage output make it well worth the added weight.

Freeze Your Enemies In Just A Few Hits

The Rhewynt is an endgame-only duospear that can be purchased from most stores. This is the best Duospear that players can buy with Gold, and it is worth the wait of reaching the endgame to use.

While only slightly beating out the Dead Ringer in base stats, its lower weight and added frost elemental damage make it much better. Despite its very high price, this weapon is well worth the Gold, with endgame quests also giving players more than enough Gold to get this weapon once found.

1Lindworm Fang

Best In Class For Damage & Weight

The Lindworm Fang offers a unique twist in that it has greater physical damage than Magick damage, with only one other Duospear offering unequal stats. Even with the difference in stats, even its lower Magick damage is higher than any other option on this list.

This weapon can be difficult to obtain as it requires 110WLCand is to be purchased from the Dragonforged inBay Wayside Shrine.Despite this, players should rush to get this weapon when beginning the endgame, as it will carry them through to the game’s true ending.
